Right now that PW struggles to keep their players... I was going to log into game to chat to some friends and maybe try to do something else but....

At first I thought it was some sort of game bug and then I tried to come back to forum but...

I really think it was some sort of weird auto-ban because... I don't get it.

    It is, I've got it twice and it took at least a week both times to get unbanned.

    Edit; no problems on my end so it's very likely not server side.

    so we were gifted with a bug...b:surrender

    ok for the case any GM is still there, I was right here and then decided to play a little. logged in as usual, chose character and then clicked start. after loading game I got the disconnected pop-up before showing the game and then I found out I was also blocked here.

    I've had tons of problems with internet provider. very unstable here (tons of DC) being the reason I've played forum more than pw. I haven't used any proxy at home for over 1 year now. Never used it to play PW or browse forum.

    I'd suggest you submit a ticket, but it's a 3 day weekend here in the states so a reply may be slightly delayed. In the meantime, try logging in periodically to see if it goes away.

    Talk with your ISP, find out what kind of connection you have. Find out what things you need to do. Networking info in my signature below.

    Are you on a university internet connection?

    How are you connected?
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    thanks Panda. I've contacted the internet provider. I only play at home and use wireless to connect. the lag+dc thing is solved now but I still can't log in here or in game (I'm King_Solomon on Heaven's Tear server) with that account. the internet provider couldn't tell me details about their IP addresses/networks but I'm quite sure they don't use foreign IP addresses. the account i'm posting with works normally in game so i guess it's all ok here now. could you help me with the matter?

    EDIT: forgot to mention PW page log in now shows the following: "Your account has been banned from Perfect World. "

    Let us know what you have tried, what works, what error messages you have gotten.

    The disconnection issues are over. Everything working OK here. When I try to log in with the account I'm posting everything works perfectly. Even then the problem for my main account persists. The connection time you verified was another unsuccessful attempt to log in. You may reset/change my password to test it.


    I clicked verify on game laucher. game files seem to be ok. ran chkdsk on windows. all ok. I can't test it on another PC at the moment. I've uninstalled my firewall software and antivirus before posting.

    I've taken 2 screenshots of the problem right now. Maybe it helps.

    I also can't log into my main account here in forum so I guess the problem can't be in game. I use Firefox 3.5.2 (same problem on IE 6)

    Earlier I ran tracert. Latency seems to be high but in game it was a bit lower. I connect directly through a modem.

    I'm having the same problem, with one difference. I connected through a "Latency reducer," or a proxy specifically designed to reduce lag in gaming. Logged in, played for 3 hours, logged out. Logged in the next morning, insta-ban.

    Fix your damn proxy detection, PWI. It's either bannable or it isn't.


    And on the subject, you really should consider NOT banning latency reducers, since they improve the user experience.

    I agree, bear. It's fair to block proxies used to bypass region restrictions but only that kind of proxy. Proxies are used everywhere... For security reasons, caching, content filtering, privacy etc.

    Still no response to the ticket I sent in.

    I suppose they're inundated with tickets from all the untamed chars, as it's NEVER taken this long before. I've usually been contacted within 24 hours.
