Why no SoF/PF included in this event??

Why didnt they make Source of Force and Phoenix Feathers obtainable from this event? They included everything else...

    Yes true. So are Wedding Packs, Training Eso's, GA's, those Tome Page thingies, TP Stones, Wardrobe Stones (example enough?) I dont get why not Sorce or Feathers?

    There have already been at least 2 events selling SoF/PF in the recent past. I'm glad they aren't offered in this one. I'm probably one of very few venos who doesn't have a legendary pet, and I like it that way. They make things easier... and I don't want things to be easy. I play the game for the challenges, ya know?

    I think they should have stopped the sale of SoF/PF months ago. When everyone has a legendary pet, it kind of stops being "legendary."

    99.999999999% of the venos past level 80 has a herc. You shoulda seen my past bh79. 5 venos + 5 hercs + 1 cleric. Oh yea, without a herc, no one will invite you to gamma.

    I kinda agree with the OP, it's just one of the many let downs of the event. My gf has been saving for a herc since she started, without the cash shop and was just 2000 off with enough to buy them at the start of the event. Now for a full month long there's 400k gold prices. The AH is empty and wc shouts get prices of 5-6k each.

    It's little things like this that lose pw more and more players daily. =/

    Lol, I've been selling around 2000 leftover sofs for 3790 each in a catshop. Someone cleaned that out in one day.b:chuckle

    Yeah, the old 2.3k price is set with gold at 100k each. I got the last nix when prices is still below 200k. At 400k, 5k per sof is cheap, frankly.

    A very gradual inflation to 400k would be somewhat bearable, but an almost instant doubling of gold prices for a full month? Did pwi really expect they wouldn't lose players?

    Likely because they made the prizes generic, and SoF and PF are directly targeted to one class. And if asked about the regular token exchange, they would need to add more items for each individual class as well. I know BMs would love if there was tp incense to use for rebirth runs, but all they have is tp stones which aren't good for that. I imagine other classes have a wishlist as well, but why bother targeting each specific class anyways?

    It has more to do with high lvl players who spent a year or more to accumulate end game gear, and having the effort made instantly worthless by the packs.b:chuckle

    That's the other side to it and I agree =/

    While new players recently joining are instantly put off by insane gold prices and poorer players are put off by a doubling in the price of items they'd stuggled to get money for......older, dedicated players who may have been loyal customers to pw for many months watch helplessly as duke spams the items they'd spent immense amounts of their time, resources and money to get hold of, being obtained in 5 minutes by players with a few gold and a bit of luck.

    I really wish the devs would give us some input here... I'd really love to know what part of their management decided "Hey guys! Our customers will definitely love this, lets do it!"

    Yay! I am special :P I am that 0.000000001% who has no herc and is past lvl80 ^^ Doing fine without it, but might get one for delta. Heard that herc is a must there :P

    I would have enjoyed this even more if I could get SoFs from it too. Otherwise it is getting kinda hard to get herc/nix now. Their price have almost doubled.

    I couldnt agree more with your last point . Also with _DarkSeph_ .

    The economy has been showing signs of trouble for at least the last few months. It seems to have reached boiling point. People are asking for a solution to the high gold prices. As the AH prices are set by the players, suggestions have been made that PWE take some form of action. How I feel about that is?... can we trust them if they start meddling with the AH ? They have a vested interest in keeping prices high so that many people will bybass buying gold with coins and use more RL money to buy gold. I wouldnt trust them one bit if they started setting gold prices or such..going by their actions in the past (especially recently) in regards to the economy vs their own hip-pocket.

    ya it's kinda weird they didn't put those in this event
    but i really think they only put these thing's in here is becaz by this winter it wont be the same items so ya but i was wondering the same thing
    If anniversary pack threads keep getting made I'll keep trolling them until there isn't anymore!b:bye

    It doesn't matter. How much does 30% off really help when gold quadrupled in price? You'll need to charge $200 of zhen for those pets those days, that, or 80 mil coins.b:chuckle

    lol ya but thats atm plus the only ones who have these pets are cs users and ppl who saved up all there money since they first started the game

    Err... if anything their interest is in keeping prices moderately low. They want prices high enough to give people a reason to buy zen, then sell the gold from it, but at the same time people will play for free. If gold through the AH is cost prohibitive those free players don't end up contributing to revenue. Gold from the AH still requires someone to have bought it (and they make 2% more through AH sales, due to the listing fee), it doesn't just poof into existence out of nowhere.
