Litmus Test involving The Duke

OK Bs & Gs here's an opportunity to find some things out.

On the 162nd page of the Update thread spoons told us the Duke will be shut up at next maintenance.

I am putting up a poll to see if there is any chance we can get it done sooner.

This should be minor. This should be done almost as fast as it takes to bring the servers down and then back up.
Duke dialogs should be well documented and regularly changed code.

A) It will silence The Duke.
It will give us an opportunity to show that we can come to a decision as a community and present it to the game runners.
C) The Duke gets gagged.
D) It will give the game runners an opportunity to show us whether they can/will respond to something put forward by the community at large.
E) Did I mention The Duke will be quiet?

You didn't actually put a poll up there.

I would not want the servers to be taken down just to shut the duke up. Emergency maintenance should be just that - for emergencies.

We can't do this earlier, maintenance just takes so much preparation that we would rather not risk having one simply for a text issue. We're sorry if this doesn't please anyone, but we do appreciate your patience
