LVL 70 TT Armour: Defense or Hp shards

Heres my issues. my current armour sucks and my next set is lvl 70 TT gear.
The debate is HP or Def shards. Currently I have a pure magic arcane build. and take physical beating fequent (accidental stealing aggro, poor pulling, or BB statue etc...). Current hp is about 2400hp and 6400mp (these are estimates only).

1. Def (max red stones flawless shards = +656 def)
2. Hp (max citrine flawless shards = +640 hp)
3. hydrid comb (50/50 = 338 def/ 320 hp)
4. your input here*

**assuming all chest, legs, boots and arms are maxed slotted**
I understand RB's are strickly HP, and TW or pvp are Def.
1. PvE
2. PvP (to include TW/dualing)
3. Specail events (RB's, Frostgate etc..)

What is the best possible solution to this issue?

    hm... i guess, high levels would prefer to use HP shards ~

    just don't do the 3rd choice (combi)... don't do 50/50, it's useless.

    btw, as from my own experience as hybrid (la/arcane with decent vit):

    note: against the same mobs, same level and i'm unbuffed...

    with robe, i have kinda 1.5k phys def, and took a phys damage ~ 400
    with la, i can get 2.8k phys def and took ~250 damages.

    ...

    so, the damage's different isnt really that high ~

    that's why i would recommend you to use "HP Shards" on all armours for any situations (PvE, PvP etc.)

    and dont forget to "Refine" your armours to get more HP bonuses ~

    *the more HP you have = the more you can survive = the longer you'll stay alive ^.^

    ...

    but, well... that's all just my opinion, since i'll fully add my armours with HP shards myself, and keep refine them <3

    Go for HP at this point, p.def w/o HP is useless.
    And for my opinion, go with mold pants, TT70 suks.

    I have TT70 with def shards. Def shards just suck. To low gain for the price compared to the citrine. Go for Citrine shards.

    Better way is to get 3 star items and wait till tt90 unless u wanna go for TT80 gold.

    HP shards are the best. I'm just touching 3k hp unbuffed with my new armour.

    Explain that to me please.

    Best choice for a cleric imho is 4 items with pdef and 2 items with HP...you can always pimp your HP with orbs, but Pdef is rare to come by.
    Always funny seeing other lvl 90+ clerics crying about their HP charm tick vs some bosses cos they only wear HP shards, while i have no problem at all. b:chuckle
