Whats the diff etween zen and gold? Seriously...

ZEN is what all virtual currency is called in the company. Gold is what we call it in PWI specifically. so 100 ZEN = $1 = 1 gold

Or in JD 100 ZEN = $1 = 1 Jaden

Zen is what you purchase directly, and is used across all three PWE games (PWI, JD, and ES). Zen is transformed into gold only after it has been put into PWI. The other two have their own versions of our gold, but with different names.

it's a bit arbitrary, most f2ps have a similar system.
