Anniversary Server maintenance COMPLETE!

Hello everyone!

Once again server maintenance is upon us, today it will be from:

10:00pm until 1:00am Pacific Standard Time

As you can see, maintenance will be a bit longer tonight, this is because we plan to make a few hardware upgrades along with the maintenance. Although we expect that it may not take as long as projected, we want everyone to be informed that it could possibly take a bit longer than usual.

    Released September 2nd, 2009

    HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!
    Perfect World International turns 1 year old this month!     Anniversary Pack
    A special pack is appearing in the cash shop throughout this month to celebrate PWI's 1 year anniversary. These packs contain various items that can be exchanged to the PW Boutique Agent for items.     Frostcovered City
    No one would choose to face a challenging Boss if the rewards aren't worth it. Frostcovered City was originally designed to help LV 85-95 Players level-up, so we've taken the liberty of adjusting the EXP rewards to reflect that purpose. Additionally, the drops within Frostcovered City have been adjusted to be more gear oriented, rather than materials or components.

    New quests await adventurers who enter this frozen prison. Main changes include:

    Squad Only – The gates of Frostcovered City can only be opened by a squad leader.

    Quests - Plenty of new quests await you. These also include new repeatable quests.

    Material Exchange – Old Frostcovered City materials can be exchanged for bonus items from the Martial Arts Master (Previously King of Kung Fu).

    Etherblade Waterfall
    Players who are getting stuck within Etherblade Waterfall will find a new pop-up window appear. After confirming or closing this window, the player will be teleported to the center of Etherblade City. Please do not enter the waterfall and defile the ancestor’s pool.

    Guardian Angel / Guardian Scroll
    Guardian Angels are being converted into Guardian Scrolls. Currently they are in a transition state and the icon does not display correctly and the description still refers to Angel, but the functionality of the item remains the same. We will complete this update very soon.

    Dragon Orb (1 Star) (10 Pack)
    This pack has been temporarily removed from the cash shop. It will return in the near future. The single Dragon Orb (1 Star) is still available.

    Localization
    King of Kung Fu is now called Martial Arts Master.
    Various text localization has been added.

    Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    ok so itll be tomorrow nite then when we can play again rule of thumb for servers ran from pw says 2 hours add 4 =6 etc so 4 = 12 and hardware update we mite play our characters again one day :0

    hmmm... the site mentions an anniversary box, and says tokens can be tradable at the PW boutique agent but doesn't actually say where we can get the boxes from... are we to assume it's from the boutique? or will everyone be able to celebrate PW's anniversary and enjoy the box? (hoping for second)

    also the non-trade in items, will those come directly from the box?
