Better wiz for a noob?

im at lvl 66 on my veno aand want to make a wiz alt cuz i normally play mag/sorc type chars on these games, but my question is what wiz buildwud get a noob to wizs thru the game easier, la or pure, or when to reset if needed,thanks.

    If you're a noob don't play wiz
    Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    I have a 79 barb and a 61 veno. My wiz is now level 18. Pure magic build.

    I hit things VERY hard, but if i get hit...well it's like being pure magic build as a veno. Depending on your build as a veno, it may be very similar your first few levels. My veno is pure magic (almost...a paltry 30 vit for a little survivability in solo situations); I'm finding many similarities between the two as far as play style with an obvious exception being that you have no pet to back you up if you get into a sticky situation.

    That being my experience, now I'll tell you what I was told when I made my wiz: LA is easier for those without much experience with casters. Arcane is better for those with some experience to back them up as you will hit much harder than LA wizards. Though many wizards suggest LA as they survive longer in PvP situations. So, it really depends on your play style and your level of experience.

    Wizards are a hard class to play (especially for a barb). The wizards aren't all just being cocky when they tell noobs to avoid them. Wizards are an investment, that's for sure. They can be difficult to level (being a veno, I was able to plow through my first 20 levels with no help whatsoever and solo'd most of my bosses until fb29); I've been told that you stick with them the reward is worth the dying in the early levels. Consider how you want to play before you choose your build.

    Don't be discouraged by the wizards that tell you not to bother...if you want to give it a try, do it. You might love it. I won't lie and tell you that I love my wiz, but she's not so bad.
