Venomancer: Light Armor, where to put your attribute points!?

I'd like to know if you want to be a light armor veno, where do you put your attribute points each lvl? I read at each lvl put +1 str. and dex., +3 into maq. But why don't you up your vit? I don't understand. It gives you extra hp so why not boost it too? If you have great str and no vit how would that be different than no str and great vit? Wouldn't it be better to just have both? I don't understand why no vit. I'd like to be able to do magic and defend myself well at the same time, so an armor veno seems like the choice for me. I don't want to die in a few hits :P

So I guess that's my question. 1) What do you put your 5 attribute points into each lvl? and 2) Why no vit?

Thanks for any help you can give. New to the game :)

It is basically because you can NOT add vit. There are no extra points.

You get 5 stat points when you level up. You need 1dex+1str to wear highest level LA and 3 magic points to wear highest magic weapon. Where do you get the 6th stat point per level to put into vit? Most people just stick with whatever str/dex that they need and find other gear that gives +vit/hp to make up for the lack of hp.

Thats like asking, why not put 500 stat points in all dex, str, vit, and magic.

basically - an LA veno is good for fox form since it has an (okay) evasion rate - and can fare a bit better against archers than an arcane veno can. Both LA and HA veno's go down quick to magic seeing as how the evasion has no effect against magic spells and HA gives less elemental defense than arcane does. BUT - IMO an arcane armor veno with extra points put to vit is more versatile than any of the above builds. Just be sure to shard your armor with phy shards and you'll have approx the same pdef as the LA veno does - and you'll have more vit to boot = better survivability all around (archers excluded - unless you get the drop on them first).

you COULD go against the "rules" of LA veno build and not put in so much vit and str, only statting enough to wear armor 10 levels below you - ie.. if you would normally be wearing a lvl 33 req. piece of gear at lvl 33 according to "the proper guide" - stat so that you will be able to wear that same piece at level 43. This affords higher vit/mag points.

tbh - you should weigh the options you have in front of you and consider what you will really get out of the stat points you put into your build, before just following a guide that someone throws up as being "the best". Bear in mind that the LA veno build gives a higher crit rate due to the higher dex - which may sound nice at a glance - but higher crit rate - higher chance of pet loosing agro. You're pet looses agro against a mage mob - you'll wish you were arcane all of a sudden.

My vit veno rarely looses agro and i can still make my pet tank 3-4 mobs at once.b:pleased
