After installing Nuke Evolution index.php will not come up but admin.php works

    So if there's no posts on the forums for the program you're using about your problem, why not sign up for an account and ask there? You're a lot more likely to find someone who would be able to help beyond telling you to Google it on a forum dedicated to a website design program than you are a forum dedicated to an MMO game.

    Cant get good hosting now days... I think i will drop them and start all over agin with new hoster.

    Now really, why are you bothering with something as slow as a nuke derivative? PHP-NUKE isn't anymore what it used to be, and the modded adaptation won't change that either...

    If you want something functional and nice looking, go for joomla. Sure, it will tale a while to figure things out, but I guarantee you it's twice as better as nuke...

    But if you still want to use nuke, I'll be wiling to help you out on that one...

    Deal... tell me why after i installed php nuke evolution the admin.php works and the page loads but index.php( the main page) will not load and gives a 404 error. Allso keep in mind forums.php dose the same thing. Only the admin.php works.

    1) show e the site; from hear/say I can't really tell you THAT much, but what I can;

    2) have you checked the file structures on FTP, as if the file is already there?

    3) if it is, does it has the right chmod number for accessing the file?

    4) is there, perhaps, an .htaccess file or .htsetup in your root?

    5) what host do you actually use?

    Well the install guid is realy slim but if its not 644 then its 666 but i tryed that. And i used the auto installer so it said not to mess with .htaccess. Leave it as evo.htaccess. Allso every thing is in public_html. and the hoster is Free-Web-Host.me

    All right, I'll run a small test with evo to see what's wrong. Probably the chmod or some .htaccess deny permission, but won't assume anything for now (except that the php.ini is somewhat limiting at the host). and yes, everything has to be in public_html...

    Changed index.php to 666 all access. Then tryed to access www.*****.200u.com/index.php...

    Ugh no, CHMOD for running file and folders should be 755, leaving it to 644 or 666 will just make it inaccessible; 644 is for the config file and them alike, everything else should be "executable". And I just finished a fresh install (on my buggy server), and it loaded just fine, so its either a permission problem or your host sux...

    Internal Server Error == messed up php.ini

    I'm sorry for your wasted effort. Try with something lightweight, or switch host, there are quite many now operating these days...
