    Im starting to put alot into vit now that I'm fairly close to the 7x weapons and armour required stats. I have 3375 hp now, and 85 vit, and for the next 3 lvls I'm putting all in vit. The extra hp really helps alot in the end, but you don't notice unless you accually have the extra amount.

    more vit=more hp= better survivability= less death
    any questions?
    (note: survivability also has a lot to do with player skill, but more hp makes it easier)
