both depend on lvls, eq and shizzz, there is a formula somewhere. I got no idea where though. Try searching base physical/magical dmg in forum.

But yeah, it mostly depends on your weapon. IE: a level 50 archer may have ~23k or so p.atk with a gen summer's equipped, but if he switches to a level 1 bow, it drops to like... 300ish.
