can anyone provide a link to where this feature is explained? i tried the search function, and gave up after finding no help on the first couple pages

perused the mainsite, but no luck...

anyways, a link to the official FAQ/guide or a full explanation would be great b:thanks

    ...It's pretty self-explanatory...

    When you have them on, you can't heal/buff a redname, so you're not healing the person you're fighting, and you can't attack certain people if you have them checked, in case you accidentally click them. >_>

    it's not very clear how it functions though... which is the problem... >.<

    there's the two different sections, but i don't quite grasp how they work when ticked or unticked, how that affects everything...

    plus, with the shattering faq by spoony, i'm even more confused >.<;


    i'm pretty sure i saw a guide on it somewhere... but cant remember where...

    Okay, I think I see what you mean..."Protections" is kind of a vague title.

    Anything under the "Protections" section, when checked off, you can't attack them even if you try. It's like trying to attack a blue name. If you check "All", you won't be able to attack other people until you uncheck it. If you check either of the other two, you won't be able to attack either members of your faction or whitenamed people.

    The "Blessing/Healing Filter", the second section, is meant to keep you from buffing/healing someone you're fighting against. Whichever one you checks tells you what will happen. I always have the first one checked (so I don't heal any rednames I'm attacking >_>).

    The shattering has absolutely no relation to this, so no worries. It was just a bit of confusion at first about it.

    Section: "Protections"

    "Faction Members" (ticked): means that i cannot PK/attack my fellow factionmates
    "Faction Members" (unticked): means that i am allowed to PK/attack my fellow factionmates

    "White name players" (ticked): means that i cannot PK/attack players who are white/pink named
    "White name players" (unticked): means that i am allowed to PK/attack players who are white/pink named

    "All" (ticked): means that i cannot PK/attack anyone
    "All" (unticked): means that i am allowed to PK/attack anyone

    Section: "Blessing/Healing Filter"

    this part i mostly get (since they are pretty clear on the function), but what i don't get is the specifics

    1) while CTRL is held and i cast buff, what happens?
    2) while CTRL is held and i cast buff on squadmate, what happens?
    3) while CTRL is held and i cast buff on factionmate, what happens?

    also, all three under the condition of CTRL not being held...


    if my assumptions/clarifications are incorrect on anything, please correct me, thanks

    EDIT: i just realized, with the "Protections" section "All" ticked, i was still able to PK a white-named barb o.O
    now i'm fully confused...
