Hi There,

I was playing on Heaven's Tear up until about 4 months ago until I moved. Last night I wanted to start again, only to discover I can only see Harshlands & Dreamweaver (which work without a hitch).

My network setup (admittedly is a bit flakey at this point) is as follows:
My wife's PC (192.168.0.1) has the USB ADSL modem attached. She can see all five servers and play on all no problems. My pc (192.168.0.100) has her PC set as the gateway (192.168.0.1). My internet connection is perfect for everything else and have not had an issue with it until this one. All firewalls were turned off temporarily, same issue. Both PCs run XP.

Has anyone had this problem or have any idea what the problem may be?

I'm yet to move the USB modem to my PC to see if I can see all servers then, but figured posting here first may avoid having to do that?

Thanks in advance,
Dogmatix

Download PFPortChecker and check if port 29000 is open on both PC's. If one of them is not, set the router to open port 29000 for TCP/UDP on the starting ip address which should be 192.168.1.100. If that doesn't work, try 192.168.1.1 (I don't think that will work but worth a shot.

By the way, how are you networked? You didn't mention router, are you on paralell or serial????

Your server file must be corrupted, try a verify. If it does not work re-download and re-install if the problem persists send in a ticket.
    Quit.

Try to see if you can directly connect your PC to the cable/DSL modem and connect just fine and see all of the servers.

If you can, then the settings might be on your PC.

Consider getting a switch/router, then connecting both of your PCs to it, and then connect the switch to the cable/DSL modem.

    Hi There,

The problem was completely random. All of a sudden out of the blue I could see all servers. I played for an hour or so on Dreamweaver then exited to main menu and not out of the game and I could then see all servers. Nothing changed, no updates were going on in the background or anything. Very very odd.

Thanks for the responses though. Much appreciated.

    Welcome to PC gaming b:victory

If more people would understand that some PC issues are anomalies that come and go, it would make things a little bit easier b:surrender
