This will be periodically updated with more suggestions as I come across them.
Interface
Topic: Widescreen Settings
The Problem: The widescreen feature, or widescreen resolutions 6:9 (Haven't seen any 6:10 ones yet) work, but are not fully functional. This is a widespread problem, not just a user here or there situation. It is a flawed game design and needs to be fixed.
Players that use widescreen resolutions or use the widescreen cinematic feature experience part of the game display *Cropped* when using the map/territories feature.
The solution: There's plenty of solutions, one of the easiest being to force the map to be resized according to the resolution used. Or you could provide a scrollbar for this during widescreen mode.
*Notes*
It is sloppy coding, it needs to be acknowledged and fixed. Plain and simple. Don't start something you can't finish, and don't implement something that is partially broken.
Keyboard Configuration
The Topic: Key Mapping
The Problem: There is no way for players to customize their keyboard controls. It limits the ability of players to fully emerse themselves or enjoy the game.
The Solution: Code in a configuration tab in the system settings within game. Give the players a choice to choose what keys do what. It won't hurt your game, it will expand the features currently given to provide a much more enjoyable experience. Not everyone thinks your current settings are god mode, let us decide what that is for ourselves.
*Notes*
You could also throw in a rotate camera left and right setting, so we aren't forced to use right click, which sucks by the way.
P.S. This is a basic game fundamental to include key mapping options for the user. Are you daft?????
Quest log
The Topic: Variables
The Problem: The quest log doesn't have a variables in place to remember the expansion and collapsing of quests. Everytime a user closes their quest log, even if they expanded or collapsed the quests, it resets to default, which is "all expanded"
The Solution: That one isn't difficult, come on developers, expand your horizons....
*Notes*
Its only common sense that if the interface has placement memory, the rest of the features should be memorized as-well. DUH
Thats all for now.
