i've have a lvl 45 Discipline (white, with 16/40 LP) for quite a while and i'm thinking of decomposing her and summon Zeal (yellow/orange). i'm thinking of getting what my current genie has for Zeal and that is:

Qi Manipulation and Extreme Poison. and going to add in Holy Path when getting that extra slot.

my question would be, are these skills good or should i go for other genie skills?

b:thanks

[EDIT] oh and i also wanted to ask this as well. Hollow Fist and Chaotic Spirit, both Veno only genie skills, get or not?

To be honest? Qi Manipulation is a USELESS spell. You'd only be using it during PvP, and most people there bring both sets of charms. You're not going to have any advantage to draining someone's MP when it just goes back to full in 5 seconds anyway. Holy Path is a big YES. You can combine it with Bramble Hood, and cut a lot off of TT runs, since you can plow through mobs with it.

As for your question about those other skills? I'd say no. Not worth it, IMO. I would suggest Blinding Sand, as you can look down a few topics on the Veno Board, and see why. And also, Earth Strand. You can use it while resummoning your pet to freeze a mob in its tracks so you don't get whacked on.

I'm wondering about Qi manipulation to help in PVE teams.

Flip the (charmless) clerics health and life whilst they're in the middle of blue bubbling to extend it. Emergency heals of the barbarian. That sort of thing.

I really don't like all of these "x% chance" skills though. They seem too much to be "Ok, hit the button, nothing happens. Yay!"

My first priority my genie was to get Tree Of Protection, which is a very useful skill during boss fights, dungeons, pk and even ganked by mobs. It pretty much is almost a full heal and is useful should you not have a cleric or the cleric is busy spam healing others. Holy path is a good skill also, for the reason stated by Isala, you can cut off a lot of TT runs by just charging through the mobs.

I'm aiming for mine to be a pvp type genie and I got recommended by two friends to get thunderstorm which I heard is quite good because it deals a lot of metal damage, however it needs 7 affinity points in fire which isn't always so easy to do

My genie skills currently are, tree of protection, extreme poison, cauterize, and holy path. Honestly, i didn't think i would be using cauterize that much, but when you go 1v1 with another veno with a nix, you will be very glad you have it. And like everybody said before, holypath+bramble hood=shorter tt runs :) Also, extreme poison is a pwnge skill for venos because when it is combined with amp, even the barbs and bms seem to go down fast

I also heard that if you have your 79 immune skill, there is a genie skill that removes all stuns and what not. Combine those two, and you have complete immunity to all dmg while moving o_0

An herb also, but haven't tried it. I do have the skill but find it rather useless. 4 seconds just to channel/cast it 5 minute cooldown, and requires a spark. Cost me nearly 5 million, and regret getting it.

I found the invincibility skill to be useful. Not in pvp but sometimes I get too many monsters on me at once and I may have already used bramble hood or don't have 2 sparks so I throw on feral. My pet takes care of things and I take very little damage total.

I've thought about trying the anti-stun trick but I doubt it will work.

I'm still not sure what genie skills would work for a veno. Mine all had bad lucky points so I never bothered to ever use any.

16.5 seconds of your pet in a situation like that with no healing? I couldn't picture it working out better for me that way, but may have to try it.

That's when I kick in pounce on my phoenix so it hits things much faster as I cast feral.

Maybe I should try for a genie again.

Are you the same tweakz that joined Belial recently? I haven't brought it up in the game because I keep certain things on the fourms, not the game.
