Cleric issue

during the pass few days, i squad with strangers for BH. and i HATE it! it seems they dont listen! everyone is all over the place yelling "heal" "heal plz" "heal" "heal". then i repeat what i said in the beginning "i cant heal everyone, use pots or stay close to me or WAIT for me i run SLOW"... seconds later "heal" "heal plz" "heal" ANNOYING!

*party wipe*

"why didn't u heal me??"

i really want to just say "asshoe ur own fault u run too fast" or "dumbass i was healing someone else, why didnt you use your own damn pots?" or "are u the f-ing tank? no. so stop taking aggro"

THEN i risk MY exp to go to town, go back to rez them and once again, we all die because they dont listen and the fault is blamed on me bc i didnt "heal" them. *REPEAT*

at this point i regret lvling my rez, should have kept it at lvl 1.

anyways i LOVE playing the cleric but i feel like i dont have the patients anymore.. is it too mean to say "im your god obey me or you die"? lol .. not like that but along that line..

My suggestion, if you're going into bh with pretty low lvl ppl get a 2nd cleric. If the team is strong & exp you won't need help. But I have a lower lvl alt tank... b:surrender omg... it's like the clerics don't even know they have healing skills... no offence... They just stand there or DD till I'm half dead & all my potions are in cooldown... meanwhile the idiotic DDs are just shotting random mobs I've not even agroed b:cry

If once in a while you find a good person on a team - ADD THEM TO YOUR FRIENDS!!! So over time you'll come to know some pretty good players that you can actually quest with...

You're not required to heal every idiot that hasn't learn the notion of being careful. Don't heal people who don't deserve it, having a cleric in your squad isn't a reason to start throwing yourself b@lls first in a bunch of mobs. Just tell them what you really feel and if they start bitching blacklist them all.

And yes. Having a rez higher than lvl 1 is a curse.

Just suck it up for now. Unless you're lucky enough to find some alts of people who know what they're doing it's pretty much what you see is what you get. People are just noobs, especially at those levels.

And by all means, feel free to adapt a firm attitude. Let them know that if they continuously steal aggro they won't be getting healed, especially when dealing with multiple mobs. End of story. It's common to have a noob DD attack a mob which noone else hit, you'll throw them a heal, they'll die, you'll be next on its aggro list and die yourself and indirectly lead to a party wipe.

Tell them how to assist attack the tank, if they don't listen and go ramboing, let them die. Over and over and over again. They'll call you a noob, it's inevitable, but you'll know who the noob is

It gets better at higher levels when you find some people who actually know how the aggro mechanics work and how to adapt to different situations.

This is the only way... Keep good players as the biggest treasure and play with them only.

i newer go to a fb/TT or anything that involves tanking with a archer/wiz(i dont thrust any of them) cuz they grab the freaking agro and i cant just let them die cuz then party is screwed

unless tank is in teh midle of me and the archer i let the archer die and let the tank get agro^^then i dont rez the archer ^^


archers suck in general they do too much dmg they grab agro and die=QQing archers =_=

I have to admit though...it is funny as heck b:chuckle

They are often competing with each other....My job is just to make sure no one dies....lmao

But in all honesty b:sweat...It can get real interesting. I was in an Fb89 with 3 Wizzes...Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...and they tend to be squishy enough but going back and forth was insane b:surrender

In the end though if you can keep them alive = all good!! If one of them dies....there fault, I warn them...

I have only done the charm tick thing for those tanks who think they are the best ever and do not need us to heal them and they can do it without. So....I sit down and watch and then the QQ freak out comes because their charm was ticking. I did this once with another Cleric, as we were both fed up. It was funny b:chuckle Needless to say, he never doubted Clerics again!

Well, it's simple enough. Run ahead of the cleric = no heals. If you cannot keep up, then they have to wait for you to catch up before they try to see if their skull can be used as a shield. It's simple enough, really: Cleric > Tank > main DD > whatever else the cat dragged along in the squad. No matter what happens, the cleric is the most important character in a squad. Unless you brought a second cleric, the cleric is the only character who can revive others and save their exp. It's the only character that can stack heals. And, face it, a DD's job is really just to add some damage and then kill whatever decides to go sniff at the cleric.

If your group doesn't understand that the first time you say it, find a new group. Trust me - there's plenty who'd love to have you along.

This is not an exprienced group like call of duty mostly closer to their own lvls.They just want to get it over and done with and are rushing it.

I am kind of use to waht you are expriencing if things aren't going good you can always leave.I don't think a lot of players realize how slow a cleric walks.

All I gotta say:

Cleric's Ive noticed are lame when it comes to healing.

They either spam IH or use BB.
This is NOT a good cleric.

IMO Stream of Rejuv is a skill all Support Clerics should use 6x on...
Spike heal and HoT in one, and it saves squishies like you wouldn't believe.

Clerics need to understand aggro more sometimes I think, but most of them have it down, but you also do NEED to watch other party members to make sure if they take aggro you have a stream of rejuv started for when they get first hit.

For example, if you are doing a TT run for you level (most) archers or venos or the sorts will get hit and go to 1/5 of their life in one shot, if you can spot the change of aggro and have a stream of rejuv casted as the mob runs to them basically they will go.... Full Life - 15% - Full life...and you have some HoT to boot, enough time to put 1-2 IH back on tank and hope your BM's and tanks will pick aggro off the squishy while you start another rejuv on their poor asses.
Another thing, if you are going to solo cleric TT 1-3 and further bosses, some of them will hit even an 8x tank for 1/4 of his life or more in one hit, stream of rejuv will cancel out these hits much more then a couple stacked IH...
I did a full tt 1-3 the other day solo healing and barb ticked maybe 10-15 times throughout all bosses.

Chromatic Heal - the most under used spell...., BB is only necessary in some situations, people telling me to BB when TT bosses aoe FIRST starts are ****, BB should not be required until 25% on most bosses unless you have some VERY low hp robes. Why limit your DD if you can just stack some IH, spark, Chromatic heal, and add in some DMG or debuff if no one is.

Just some gems from a semi-experienced LA cleric.

Edit: USE Single Spark often in instances, its 200% more magic attack which DIRECTLY affects your healing power....using single spark IH, Stream of Rejuv and Chromatic is extremely useful. Chi should be coming back almost faster then you can spend it if you are healing properly and not letting charms tick.

but here's my story:

lv4x cleric (me) in a random BH29 squad..

we're about to do the room with the tower thing to open the door to qingzi's room and i tell everyone to let the veno pull and we will handle the mobs one at a time. do the rambos listen? heck no. i end up fightin the lil mob by the tower myself and hoping noone important dies, because the dummies run in the room and dont get all the agro, so when i heal someone that needs it that mob gets all over me (and hitn pretty hard).

so when we're about to start dealing with all the skelevizen lieutenant (?) in qingzi's room, i put my foot down and tell 'em you will either listen and let the veno pull those mob one at a time and we deal with them one at a time or you can die.

guess what.. they listened.

and afterward they said something like this:
"gawly george... dat shurrre was purty durn easy wudn it"

frign imagine that, a cleric that knows what they're talking about lmao.

but yea.. there's a TON of john rambo's out there and sometimes the only way to knock sense in their head is just to throw the hammer down n say this is how its gona be, if u stray from it u can just die. (btw: noone died, or evn hardly got hurt at all after i said they could jus die if they didnt listen, and its because things went the way they should have instead of rambos runnin in n either getting themselves killed by the 8 LT's, or getting me killed)


and yea the whole "HEAL" thing is startin to tick me off too lol. i think i'm gona just start telling people if you demand a heal you'll recieve none

This is exactly why I won't squad with random people for BHs or FBs unless there's another cleric or I bring in someone that I know, especially a tank Barb who knows me and yells at anyone else who doesn't listen to stay close to me. I heal the best I can and if someone dies, I leave em until I'm done healing everyone else who needs it.
