Best answer is both, fists to build chi, axes to use Heaven's Flame
If you can't go both, it depends on what you're looking for
more damage output and chi: fists
more party damage output: axes0 -

then he would have to go with 3 STR, 2 DEX every LVL, leaving no VIT... even though he would have ALL weapon choices, he won't have room for VIT.
Either no VIT raised or Just at least 1 STR (or DEX) pumped into VIT instead leaving either axe or fist to choose to equip the latest[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks for Flauschkatze for siggy b:cool
VIT > STR > DEX > MAG... GG

HA + VIT = win b:bye0 -
Axes.
Reason why? slightly complicated. You need access to the later chrono maps (unicorn forest, valley of the scarred, desert tower) in order to do your level 100 cultivation. In order to get access, the quest chain involves you having (no choice) to do rebirth delta. BMs are needed in Rebirth delta but they have to be axes for non-stop AoEs. Its an unfortunate fact (well unfortunate for those that dont like axes) but you have to be Axe for this.
If you can multi weapon, do Axe + something else. But you must have Axes for 90+ rebirth. And 90+ rebirth is required for game advancement.0 -

Ok... which is why I said if you can't do both it depends on what you want. Personally I choose axe main and just equip TT70 fists instead of TT800 -

staying on the context of the question.
you have 3 ways to see this:
a)based on pwi community: You have to use axes, the main reason for this is heavens flames. Mages, barbs, archers, venos and other bms are expecting you to use flames to kill the boss quicker, as they can hit hard right after you apply the skill and damage is increased. Still, I think this is overrated as many other classes dont apply their skills when you apply flames, which makes a big waste.
b) based on being a smart axes user: you do exacly as option A, but you unequip your axes and use shadowless kick to cancell aoe and return to axes again.
C) based on what makes sense: you should use fists to dps the boss plus create chi for heavens flames. yes, you can do it. All you have to do is use a set of axes/hammer ect(even level 1 will do the trick) when you apply flames and return to fists. You can also use shadowless kick from fists to cancell boss AOE., which is a big help.
In any of those options you can use lightning chaser to cancell AOE and maybe earth strand, it supposibly does triple damage to targets on the ground.
I forgot to mention that options B and C are confusing for pwi community as many only expect option A and think B and C are not possible.

The best solution is both.
I use my TT 70 fists to build chi. And my TT 80 axes and heavens flame to increase damage. At level 86 I will be able to max my heavens flames and gain full use of its awesomeness....
Skill
Heaven's Flame Level 10
Range 8 meters
Mana 234.8
Channel 0.4 seconds
Cast 1.5 seconds
Cooldown 30.0 seconds
Weapon Axe, Poleaxe, Hammer or Polehammer
Requisite Cultivation Transcendant
Leap onto the opponent using your mana to summon a blazing
fire dragon dealing base physical damage plus 100% of weapon damage plus 4135.7. Damages all enemies
within 12 meters of the target and causes them to suffer 100% of that
damage over 6 seconds.
The group I am usually with uses vent. So we time our most powerful skills to get as much as we can out of the fiery dragon. Timing genie debuff's veno's amp, and clerics debuff..it is spectacular. Our cleric has gotten a 80k crit so far....we are looking at trying to top that.Retired

In the 7X-8X range, fists are usually going to be better for both DPS and chi. Mostly because Dark Flashes will both purify your debuffs and heal you while you attack away. And since the hard bosses will do AoE debuffs, being able to remove them will be tremendously helpful for you and your party. Healing is just a nice side-benefit.
And maxing fist mastery and getting lvl 1 shadow kick is ridiculously cheap compared to leveling an entire branch of weaponry. So it won't put a strain on your build. Like said however, equipping both current level axe and fist at lvl 70 means no vit. You can boost from there and stick with Dark Flashes for a while, however. So just a slight delay if wanting more vit really.Fist are the worst at PvP AND PvE, if you disagree, as I said, take it to PM's or make your own guide. Go here if you want to debate about it. - Lyndura
Get a High lvl Fist warrior use it, Restat to axes. GG - complexx
