Can't play =(?

I got minimized by my virus scanner, and when I went back to the game I had my original pointer and when I clicked something got returned to the desktop. I ended up Alt f4ing, and now when I try to play it says Client Running Unable to Proceed with Updates...

Why is it saying this and how can I fix it?

    First off, I'd suggest rebooting - that should fix the 'Client Running' problem.

    For the virus scanner, if it was a problem with the PWI client, you may need to add the PWI client exe to your exclusions list.

    Another option - haven't had this problem myself, but I've seen someone else talk about problems with the pointer when alt-tabbing out of the game. They fixed it by having the game run in windowed mode. So you might want to try that (you can change it by clicking on the Settings button on the very first window).

    do ctrl alt delete and end element client manually

    Ctrl + Alt + Delete

    Then "end process" to any, elementclient, client, or pwi related processes. Then, restart PWI.

    you can fix the game crashing from full screen like that if you install east asian language packs from your control panel -> regional and language options.
