Inventory Extension Stone

I was looking at an old character of mine when I noticed that her Inventory quest from the Banker required an Inventory Extension Stone. I read somewhere that choosing the stones only allows you to upgrade your inventory (or was it your safe or something else?) once rather than multiple times.

Is this true? If so, can I trash the quest and get it from him again?

What can be slightly confusing here is that you can upgrade both the size of your inventory and the size of your safe. There are only two ways to upgrade the size of your inventory, either with an Inventory Extension Stone which adds 8 slots (max of 64) or with a Super Inventory Extension Stone which will increase the size of your inventory to the 64 maximum.

As for your Safe, there are three ways, Safe Extension Stone which adds 8 slots, (max of 80), a Super Safe Extension Stone which will increase the size of your safe to the 80 maximum, or by doing the quest to hand in certain items to the banker. Handing in items can only be done a maximum of three times, and adds 8 slots each time. You can however hand in the required items three times, and then use a Safe Extension Stone if you still find you need more space.

Finally, if you trash either of the safe or inventory extension quests you will be able to get them again at any time.
