Marriage! Unfair? sexist? you deicde :3

Ok same sex marriage has been talked about and from this thred http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=373151 someone said something about {{{{''I am all for people doing what makes them happy, but we should not bring our real life ideologies into a fantasy game.''}}}}....then why is marriage even there to begin with? I really think this game should stop being sooo sexist and just let anyone get married male or female it dosnt matter....Ok look i really dont want this to get locked....just can someone tell me a (REAL) reason why there isnt? can there be some? I been i know a lot of people who hate this as well......please think on the male + male or female + female marriage thing. I would really like to see this option in the game. I really think its unfair and a bit sexist to guys or girls cant get married.....please tell me what you think on the subject.

    This topic has been brought up over and over again. IMO just put that option in game it's not like it's gona affect my gameplay.

    No and no. The vast majority of the people have said no to same-sex marriages. Businesses, needs to stick with vast majority.

    If you want to make a difference, log off, and go find your local community group that supports that cause and join them. Only 4 states in the US allow same-sex marriage (and liberal California is NOT one of them...), and only 5 countries in Europe. That it is.... Than you have a few dozen countries where there is the death penalty for that...

    Until it becomes the norm in society, do not expect it to become the norm in games.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    So your sayign if i want this i should quit? thats some bs....dude its a game its not like if 2 girls oer guys get married in a GAME someone will come to there hosue and give them the death pently.......i meen come on i said THINK before you type....allso hate to break it to you but the ''VAST majority'' as you put it suport this stuff >.> .......Ok now please think before you post i just want the rela reason....thats all dont want this thred to turn into a fight now. Allso joining some community wont change whats on this game >.> Allso in roman its a every day thing from way back in the old days till now......dont act like its something new and to be feared....i think it shoudl be added to the game......i meen whats the harm? if people dont like it they dont get married to the same sex char its that easy of a thing =/

    That dosnt change the fact is that.........I want to know whats the real reason and if there can be same marriage. Allso it would really sotp all the whispers for mthe females if they saw i was taken >.<

    Well the fact is you can not do anything EXCEPT suggest/ask devs/gm's to introduce same sex marridge in game

    edit: now that i think on it (Perfect World) isnt that perfect if they dont allow this o.o I meen just because some states dosnt like it dosnt make it a crime right? it isnt hurting anyone, or forceing anything on anyone it just be nice to have the option.

    in my opinion this is a rather pointless and unneeded suggestion. if you want to get married just get married. god ppl make such a fuss over a simple thing what does it matter if one character is male and one is female? this is a freaking GAME. hell if your a guy and want to marry a guy in the game marry a veno cos we all know about 80% of them are guysxD


    now let's look at it from a bissness stand point. seriously REALLY think about it. potentially (it could but not necessarily WOULD) this idea could give the owner of game more trouble than it's worth. if same sex marriages were added, and the hardcore extremest that are against it get wind of it, they could try to make life hell for the pw crew. the gaming industry is already under fire for topics like violence and sex. i don't think the makers of this game would want to take such an unnecessary risk, a risk that could hinder them in providing services to the game (example. people could crowd their office and they won't be able to get to work). i could be over thinking this and thus be wrong with this idea, but i feel that this is indeed a possibility.


    i hope i don't come off as some sort of hater or anything from this post, just calling it like i see it. there just isn't any need for a risk like that in the game.

    This thread is getting locked.

    We have already stated the real reason multiple times: why would anyone seek to bring real life issues into a fantasy role playing game? We play these games as an escape from the trials and tribulations of life, not to perpetuate them. This is not going to happen, because it would do more harm than help.

    I'm not against it, but I do think we should know where to draw the line between real life and fantasy.
