I was wondering, is Perfect World International still heavily populated by players or is it already a ghost town.

    Players players everywhere. Visit west archosaur and watch how much you lag.

    However the greed of said players will start to drive them out soon.

    The game is anything but a ghost town. Very large player base on and active 24/7, communities well formed within the servers, etc, etc.

    why do ppl keep referencing september as a dying point of this game? You refering to another game coming out, or big crapp changes to this game?

    Yeah I figured it must be the other game with flying lol

    Though it being p2p will stop a lot of ppl from leaving.

    I dont believe that alot of players are leaving this game anyways. When the expansion comes this winter I will be playing for another long timeb:laugh. I'm excited because of the new classes and race coming soon.

    I was excited to play till i realized this version had bot probs.

    The Malay version fixed their bot prob, and i was hoping this version had the same luck, but it seems not.

    on lost city and harshlands we take care of the bots our selves....we kill them.

    Same. When the game first opened there were horrible bot problems (The GM Report button used to be "I see someone botting" or something similar), but after a while they went away and I haven't seen any in a very long time.

    With this kind of inflation the game economy will die soon. Although the formal economy will be in wreckage, that does not means player will go away, although a lot will leave. Experience tell me that if the formal economy is destroyed MMORPG with sufficient playerbase will develop a functional informal economy.

    Ah so the bot problem has faded? Then this f2p might be for me. I played malay PW for a while till my guild fell apart due to a couple ***hats, and that made me and my wife lose interest, since the only reason we played so long was due to friends.

    I like the game at the lower lvls, 70+ got to be a chore, but I have different lvl speed expectations. Now that I've played rohan and L2, PW does not seem that bad :P

    If you don't like leveling like a chore, then PWI is still bad for you. There are plenty of game out there where leveling is not a chore.

    I saw ppl afk exping with "game features" like pet of defense and zhenning so botting does exist

    what games lol, WoW was more of a chore to me than Lineage 2, rohan has worse exp curve than this game. anarchy Online is WAY worse.

    All games have grind, just some present it better.

    I dont really care what speed I lvl at now, so this game will not be that bad.

    if u have seen harshlands it isnt getting much better trust me im not saying it is a ghost town but if things stay the way they r now or get worse the population will dwindle ive seen a pretty decent change in the past 2 months playing but dont hold me to it :>

    Lord of the Rings Online and Guild Wars come to mind as easier leveling games.
    But yeah, there are more games that are worse than PW for grinding than better.

    There's a few game's that you maybe thinking of that i will not name due to the respect i have for the perfect world team. anyway i did try most of them beta testing. i can surely say your gonna be greatly let down most of the "game's" that are due are not so great trust me on this one it's gonna be one hell of a let down folk's and beside's if the thing i herd is correct PWI is gonna be droping a new big update this winter of 09 and i herd it's gonna have a new class in this mixture of coolness. b:laugh
