New race/classes

This might sound noobish, but the new race is sea people. They are called Aquatans. the classes are harpoonists and seadruids. they start out deep in the Sea of Reality and their city is called City of Typhoons. If you are another race you need to do a quest so you get a charm to right click and you breathe underwater forever. If you are the new race, before you get out of the water, you need to do a quest to breathe on land.
Seadruids. They morph! there should be 5 morphs. 1 is a fast traveling morph for underwater. just for moving fast, not made for combat. this morph should definitely be a shortfin mako shark. they can travel 50 km/hr. Another morph is underwater meelee. this would be awesome if it was a mosasaur. a prehistoric alligator/snake that will rip you to pieces! (there is no long-ranged morph because your character itself knows long-ranged skills). The next three morphs are at level 20 to morph on land and the third one is a spine tailed sift, this is to travel fast in the air. The fourth morph is a pure strength, african bush elephant. The last morph should be a werewolf just because the spells would be fun and unique to have.(But to get the werewolf you must be level 45). when you need to get out of the water to advance at level 20, you do the land breathing quest. after that you go see your land seadruid trainer and learn the land morphs i was just talking about.
Harpoonist. At the beginning, you start off with one harpoon, and a chain attached to your harpoon and your wrist. there are 2 weapon slots. a main weapon slot,(which the harpoons go in) and a backup weapon slot.(axe, sword, mace)Once you get the land breathing quest, complete it, and arrive on land, a quest pops up. you must go to your land trainer. you complete a quest and your trainer seems to be impressed. the trainer gives you 5 harpoons (you can get more at a time later on) and a harpoon belt.(you can put 5 harpoons in 1 main weapon slot because harpoons can do that) the harpoons are as big as spears and they fit nicely in the belt. and make you look heavily guarded, too. You learn how to throw harpoons. when you kill an enemy, you get your harpoons that you throwed at them back. if you run out of throwing harpoons before the enemy is dead, you use your backup weapon. once they're dead, you get your harpoons back.
(ALL SKILLS/MOBS ARE ON PG 4/5 ...THE STORY IS SOMEWHERE ON THIS FIRST PAGE...)
New mounts. there should be sea mounts, like water dragons or giant turtles. I may have overdone this a little or put too many details in there and maybe made it sound weird or maybe its too hard to make it like this but if i played a game that had this, it would be pretty darn sweet.(just like the game is now, but sweeter ) Thanks for letting me share my suggestion.

ehh im just thinking it would make a little more sense0 -
We already have more adept water classes Untamed and they also morph. I like that you're thinkin of somethin, but its already in the game. Just not exactly the way you described it. Also, 15m/s is fastest speed.Spoons you will forever be missed in this community0

So basicly you want naga people.
It's too hard to implement new classes. You need a starting point, loads of quests until lvl 20 with new mobs, new role in a party and all that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i know that you can't be 50km/hr in the game but since its one of the fastest things in the game it should be one of the fastest things irl0 -

But then the game would get kind of old with the same characters and classes don'tcha think? and how does WoW make nice expansions every year, does it seem to be too hard for them? they do a great job.0 -
i WOULD make since to have one more race. after all, the humans own the notrth, the untamed have the west and the elves have the south, so who has the east? no one. but really storyline wise i don't think there is any space for another race.0

i think i got a story. When Pan Gu casted the giant flood to get rid of all life on the imperfect world, one species survived. they were the Aquatans. They live in water so they were capable of taking a flood. After the flood, unnoticed, the Aquatans fled to the Sea of Reality and built civilization. When the perfect world was created, 2 humans came across some wraiths. the humans tried to defend themselves, but ended up having to run away. they were running for dear life and swam far into the Sea of Reality, hoping to lose the wraiths. While they were swimming away, the 2 humans came across a village in the sea. they saw creatures called Aquatans. they were very friendly to the humans. The aquatan village killed the wraiths and they helped the humans back to land. the humans thanked the Aquatans, and they both returned to their village. The 2 humans were lucky to find help with the wraiths, and told their village about the Aquatans. Later the Aquatans noticed wraiths in their village. Now the Aquatans must fight, too keep their city alive...and also help the others, for they are in need too.
That should cover it right? b:victory0 -

You would have to make it they were sworn to secrecy (that is why we have not heard of them until now), but on their death bed, they revealed to their sons the story of the aquatans, and sworn to secrecy, until such a time as the aquatans revelead themselves to the world.
That would explain how come people did not know about them, and it ties in to the humans and wraiths. I thinkToo often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. But if they were sworn to secrecy, then why would the water people come out now? The story would need some way of getting the new race into the battle. Maybe the wraiths found a way to get underwater, which prompts these people to join the battle.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Or they have been working on ways to defeat the wraith, and as they promessed those 2 travelers long ago, one day they would reveal themselves and help PW to defeat the Wraith. But they needed to prepare in secret, so the Wraiths would not infiltrate their ranks.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. I usualy shoot down all these new race suggestions, but this time the OP actualy spent time thinking about it, and replying to all comments, including the background, and it even made sense....... and it got me hooked lol

thanks a lot, it really got me hooked too, i kept reading the game story and it was actually pretty fun coming up with this b:pleased0 -
i think all of you have a point but think about it. It would be cool if there was a sea race in the game. I just think it is good and there has to be a new race.0

I guess this is what most people want
I've modified a veno
restricted skin color, aqua-blue.
restricted eye color, full white and glowing.
small aqua crystal of forhead.
And the starting town would be underwater (new map addition SE of the map near the port city) and almost all quests until lvl 20 would take place underwater.
Also they would need a purpose in a team. The magic unit can be the best magic tank, with immense magic resistence. The melee unit could do both magic and physical attacks by being able to switch between a normal sword (cause that weapon is underused) and magic sword. Also the melee unit would be cool to have a buff that increases their hp, physical and magical by 100% (more than a barb) and highly increases MP/HP regen. also making it invulnerable to bleed, poison, debuffs, etc but it drains lots of MP like Blue Bubble and reduces attack by 90% and has 15 min cooldown.
The airmount could be a pulsating jellyfish or the untamed manta.
Who knows maybe the devs would get some ideeas from here...
PS: Oh, and the naga would be the oly race thad doesnt need landmount because they can transform into a serpent to move fast on land.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

As for names: Aquamancer for the magic and Seapredator for the melee.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

yeah it's a good idea, how did you give the veno that tail? and the rest?0 -

that would work, including the add on mentioned earlier. however, still no room on the map. here are some solutions for location:
A large instance that is completely underwater.
Expand the eastern edge so that half of the full width of the current map is water and put the city either underwater or floating on the waves. and archo will be in the center, make more sense since its kind of the capitol.
this is just off the top of my head, and i think would be the coolest idea. learn a lesson from One Piece, a sea in the sky made of clouds. Wen u cant go over, and u cant go down, u naturally go up. i know getting back would be a prob if u fall off b4 u reach lvl 30, so there should be a reverse waterfall made of liquid-like clouds going up that they can swim up that goes really fast.
no matter wer they put it, this is definitely one of the best new race ideas ive ever heard[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Nah, they're cheap photoshop tricks. If something looks crappy put a nice frame, darken the edges, put some pretty lights and blur the hell out of it and bingo, it's eye candy.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I think it's a cool idea, I've allready started to think on names. But I don't think this idea will ever see the light of day. Storyline wise, its doable. They could be a forgotten race that no one remembers. Or a race of sea creatures that were allready here, but have since evolved, yada yada yada. But alas, whether they could fit in is irrelivent. I once made a suggestion to have a simple "Double jump" and charractor customization skill in Jade Dynasty. This is the reply I got from a GM
"Just to set some expectations for y'all but this is one of those things that likely will NEVER get changed.
Changing a very basic gameplay mechanic such as this would require approval and development resources allocated from the main chinese devs and by altering this one element TONS of additional alterations to the game itself would need to be made. For various reasons the main devs typically aren't keen in making such drastic alterations especially if the mechanic in question has proven over time to be acceptable from their home market player base."
If they would have to go through all that just to add an extra jump and a few faces and hairstyles. Imagine how much work and changes they would have to make in order to introduce a whole new race, new quests and whatever eles would be needed.
I'm aware that PWI and Jade Dynasty are different games so dont bother to point that out. They are however developed by the same people so the same rules apply to both games when making changes. You'll never see me running away, I will stay to be
