Cleric is about timing, having invested extra point on magic is not as good.
Anyone can die if they are at 60~70% then debuffed => Amped => tempested. And saving people in mass PvP/TW is mostly about stream of regenuvenation, which does 2.4K heal base before looking into your magic stat.
For hard attack i'd have roll a mage or archer. Even though i can still manage to kill people fast by hell spark + debuff + tempest. Genies make up for that "extra magic" i don't have.

In TW I am primarily support and I like it that way. And Stream of Rejuv has too long of a casting time to be used effectively in TW. Not the ones I go to where you have 80 9x (average) versus 90 HIGH 9x/100+.
Outside of TW and PvP --> I am a tank...LOL. I am very hard pressed to die in any hh/tt, mobs, fb's, etc. And yes I will say it....generally IF I do it is because I was (1) not paying attn...haha or (2) stupidity of someone in the party b:cry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I love Kingdom. They give me gold AND Kill points at the same time b:cute
Again, Stream of reguvenation cast = around same time it takes for a iron heart to kick in (~3 seconds) or faster with you have -casting on a few armor pieces. Also demon version = extra 100% physical defense for 10 seconds.
And i have no problems for DMG. And i think the whole "more hp = harder to kill" is clear.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Sage Stream: recovering 1800 plus 60%
of your base magic attack and and additional 1800 HP
over 15 seconds. Too bad this is a Level 99 skill though
Once I get Sage Iron Heart though b:dirty (+10% hp heal FTW)....

O-o im pretty sure it's a hundred times easier to get Stream of regen than Ironheart plus at 99 you have plenty +P.def from gear.
Only difference on me would be a few re-shard which would lower my HP. But note that i only +4 my HH90. The HP i lose from HP shards can be easily gainged by refining my final set accordingly + getting higher lvl gear.
Yet, that is out of you point. U invest points on magic for extra dmg which is already a waste of HP points. I'd be killing just as efficient, and have more survival.
When healing catas, you better have as much HP stacked as possible. Cuz you gonna get focused fired a lot, maybe to the point where you can't heal yourself as much. Full Vit = buy time for charm ticks.
And about the level, i could level once a week. You can ask around, i have done Zero Exping(Not even crazy stone) in the last 5 weeks yet still highest lvl Cleric on this server. 3 more weeks to use 99 skills wouldn't be as far.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

As far as Cata team goes, I am not on those teams, and it is in fact a smart decision. I am in a team for a very specific reason and for our TW's it is essential that I am this team. We have a lot of others higher level clerics that are on those teams but my role is justified in the team that I have been placed in. I will not however divulge that information...lol...but I can rest assured you I am do very well. When you have 2-3 nixes and an Archer on you and can take more then a 2-3 hits and keep going through another 5-6 hits, then I know I have done something right with my build and my knowledge of class play.
Besides, it is HARD pressed to find any Sage Cleric in Lost City. I choose Sage because of my play style = Support. HOWEVER.....this does not mean that I cannot and do not tank and DD a lot. Additionally, I am not a HUGE PvP'er (yes I know this is LC). IF and when I do PvP I am the bait b:surrender, for the obvious reasons of being a Cleric, but does not mean I cannot survive decently. When our KOS is all 98-100+ in Levels.....well, you can only imagine what those are like and the same for TW's, but needless to say I do fine until I get jacked by 3an entire squad b:victory
In terms of my Vit.....I made a decision to keep it low and use refinement and shards to compensate for the lack of vit. I did say earlier (in this thread I believe) that I have been considering restating to add vit. But I also know that if something is not broke, then why try to fix it. And this restat thinking has nothing to do with survival. I survive just fine. In fact, I have more HP then many Clerics my level.
I will not get into a back and forth on builds....lol. Sage vs. Demon seems to be the ongoing debate no-a-days and I find WAY more go for Demon.
P.S ---> the 50 base vit was added in my 7x to give me a slight boost. Not because I was dying all of the time.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
