Player Shops (Buying)

How do i put an offer in my player shop to purchase an item if I do not currently have it in my inventory to drag up to it? I tried finding another players shop trying to buy the same item to drag it to mine but the multiple screens will not open

    you can only buy items you already have in your inv :(
