The effects of all the updates on the game

This is not another post nitpicking each individual aspect of a specific patch with no thought given to how it works as a whole on the game.
Fist off, Jones event. There have been tons of complaints about 1 or 2 guilds owning the entire TW map, and it being too hard to upstage them since they are better equipped. So now we have the Jones event, which allows for cheaply sharding armor and weapons for lower lvl guilds to improve their gear, and increases the cost of gold.
This extra cost makes it harder for the guilds to field teams that are equipped with charms to defend their territory. Many people seem to have the belief that charms are automatically provided before payment; it simply isn't feasible to do that at this point in time. Nowadays they need to trust their members to spend money given to buy gold and use it all on the charms they should need during the weekend. Obviously, not everyone will be worthy of that trust.
So an event that evens out TW more, has people crying about it as simply raising the price of gold. These same idgits whine about TW. Sadly, that isn't the end.
Long has been the debate about who is selfish when high lvls help lowbies on their FBs. Back and forth with a few things remaining constant: FBs have worthless xp for high lvls, only the rep is good. And lack of skill is conditioned because the low lvls have no opportunity to learn by playing a harder environment; seeing as they are essentially cheerleaders.
Enter the head hunter quest. Not only does it finally give xp that is worth mentioning for high lvls, but it also sections the lvls off more. People will get their BH quest to keep them within 20 lvls or so of their boss. Meaning should people do the BH quests, the higher lvls will no longer spend as much time looking for really low lvl FBs until they accomplish their BH on helping a higher lvl one.
Doesn't mean everyone will do the BH quests, but the incentive is there. And anyone who can't see how this can be intended to work towards that, again, you are an idiot.
Finally the charms for instances. According to solo TT venos, it is no fair. Course they would say the same thing if a patch was done to make it harder/impossible for venos to run through squad mode solo.
This allows all the other classes who can't solo TT to finish at a faster rate, making it more worthwhile and dropping the prices of TT mats. So not only do the TT groups benefit, but the people who buy from AH will as well. Only ones who don't benefit from it are venos who focus on soloing TT for cash. The GMs may have designed venos to have their pets tank for them, true. But that doesn't mean devs intended for venos to be able to run TT at such a magnitude easier than any other class. Cleaner fix than nerfing, if nothing else.
So in all, these updates address many long-standing and major concerns that have plagued the community for quite a long time. It makes classes more equal, with no effect on pvp unlike the first jones' blessing. It allows for easier leveling and improved ability to gear up. And it makes it easier for newer guilds to have a chance in TW.
So in short, people should start to think, play, think a bit more, and then type an opinion on updates before spewing stupid onto the forums. Granted it might not be as fun, but at least they might start to write something useful.
All in all, thank you GMs and devs for adding the ability for people to improve the gripes they have had about the game for a long time. Only time will tell if they take that chance, or continue to tantrum.

oh noes... another player that wanna show how much we are stupid and QQ in front of a such a "great" patch
allright, whatever <_<[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Everyone give Goliath a nice round of applause for proving her point for her. b:chuckle
To be fair though, I ignored the BH quest for the 80-bracket. I hated dealing with Guarnob on my actual FB run - tanking him for exp and running up a repair bill is something I can do just fine grinding, with much more profit. I did have a lot of fun helping a couple 40-ish guildmates stomp Qingzi into the ground though.
Heaven's Tear doesn't have the same "One Guild To Rule Them All" issue as some servers, but I can see where the updates might make things more competative. As for the root of the post, I can't help but agree:
Think more. QQ less.0 -

Thanks sylvae. The constant complaining and grumpiness is getting very irritating. I never thought of the new updates like that. I have question now though. Does it mean veno's can't solo TT anymore? I'm a low level veno so i haven't done TT yet.
Hopefully people will get back to playing and having fun soon. Instead of complaining sooo much. It's not that i don't understand the complaining it's just the many threads that come up about the same subject over and over. I think we get the point. If it bothers them so much i don't see why they don't put in a ticket. Then let the subject die down. It's not like gm's don't respond to you. I have always gotten an explanation for things and help when i send in a ticket. Let's start filling up the forums with some good topics and discussions, not all this complaining. If i have to complain about a game that much i simply take a break from it. Why is that so hard for others?0 -

the last patchs are made wrong, the whole game is changing to a P2Pd (where d stands for decently) and trying to suck everything they can while they still can...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Nah, in your case I rather have you around the forums than get your gear
One does not have to agree with everything to respect another person, and in this case, even though I do not agree with how you define said issue, I still respect your opinion, even if I egg you on a little about it b:cuteToo often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. and btw, one of the reason why the main TW guilds are so strong is cuz of massive zen usage by many of the players inside there... trust me cuz it's true >:3[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
