Come on how stupid do we look the chest rewards in RB/CUBE are for those people who line the owners pockets not for the common player. It's a sure fire 1gold for 200k exchange. Hence gold will stay at 200k plus to push out everyone but the gold buyers which in all honesty is what they really want. Greed is greed in any fashion.
It sucks when a good game becomes controlled by greed of the player and greed of the owners!

Yes.....kinda sucs.
I have more then a few of the Chest of Coins, but with Gold Prices at 200k each, it is not worth spending 1mill on a Perfect Hammer to open a Chest with 1mill in it b:surrender

This is becoming more and more a game that we need to pay... we got one chest of 1 million coins for "farming" the cube each day IF we finish it... then we need to pay 1 Million to open it (gold=200K)... so why we need those chests?Happy Sauce face

I would say make the Perfect Hammers more like 2-3 Gold.
Or make separate ones for the the Chest of Coins (2-3 Gold) and the Supply Stash (5 gold).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

but you will open them when gold get to let's say 180k, 100k profit by do nothing is not bad at all. or you can sell your chest for 100k, players who need to sell gold will buy them, they sold there gold for 180k each and no transaction fee.0 -

Gold is outragous right now NOT because of the Chest and Stash but instead because of (mainly) Jolly Jones and Orb Sale. Nothing to do with these items.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yeah there's truth in that "lower the price of hammers = raise gold price even higher". Sigh.... and your right it is a sign of not caring for the F2P peeps.
I spend some money on gold now and then but no where near what is need to open up all these chests. If I had the money to spend like that I would have stayed playing WoW!
What makes it worst is they said they do what they do to get a feel for whats going on so they can fix it but sure enough new sale's every week. Sad gold will never be under 200k again.

The problem is as soon as gold goes down to 180k, the people who have stockpiled chests will buy it to make a profit and open the chests. This will keep the gold up to hovering around 190-200k.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Lol.....all I can say is there was no significant effect on Gold on our server dealing with the Chests. There was NO issue making 300-400k off of the Chests UNTIL Jolly Jones and the Orb sale came out.
Otherwise our Gold prices are generally steady at 130k and the very occasional up to 150k.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

5*155=775k
6*775k= 4m 650k
6m - 4m650k = 1m350k

Jolly and chest came out same time after update. So it seems jolly is the reason but at the same time took a day or two to get chests coming out as people completed rb and cube as well0

If I can make 300k to 400k per cube run, I will go back to do cube daily. I stopped doing cube because I spend 300k to 400k each run on average, if I can make those coins up, I do not mind to spend 30 to 40 minutes a day to get free exp plus pages and chips.0 -

The cube has not changed, they ADDED the chest, so you still getting what you were before plus one new item.
Of course cash shoppers will benifit, they are the ones that pay for the servers and maintenance and bandwith, not the freeloaders. And since PWE did not remove any of the rewards for the cube, people can not really whine and complain about the chests. Even if you sell them for 10k each, you would still be making 10k more than before.
For the people that choose to not buy gold with cash, do not complain, you have that option, and the price of the hammers did not change, so if you want to trade some real cash for some gold, you just have to buy a hammer, if you do not, than go grind and stop whining.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.0 -

Think of it as ceiling though. When you look at other PWs that have been out for a long time, the price of gold in-game averages 400k.
The boxes are in fact creating a ceiling, where they are dictating the gold is not worth more than 200k per unit, since you get 1mil for 5 units of gold.
All other items from CS, have a relative worth in-game, even gold has a relative worth, hence the price variations. However, the 5 gold hammer that opens a 1mil coin chest has a specific value, 5 gold is worth no more than 1 million coins. No matter how much you like gold or coins, the two are now tied together to a fix exchange rate.
Personaly I do not like this idea, since any attempts to price fixing in a market usualy ends up messing things up down the road. I am sure this was PWE's attempt to play FED and try to stabilize the price of gold.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. I just cannot agree...there are MUCH better things to buy with 5 Gold and make $$. This is why I do NOT think it has anything to do with the hammers. Those would not make a CS shopper $$.
Example: (if were to sell at Gold Prices at 200k each in shop)
5 Gold - Perfect Hammer: 1mill
5 Gold - 50 1* Dragon Orbs @ 40k each: 2mill
** I maintain that Orbs and Jolly are driving Gold prices **[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
