'Attack Level'

What does it mean? I'm assuming it's some sort of DPS factor, and if so, does it apply to Magic Attack?

I was basically wondering if Frenzy (genie skill) would dramatically increase a Wizard's damage, since it increases the attack level by 20 when maxed.

    attack lvl increases your attack, both phys and mag, by 1% per lvl above 0
