About UI settings

Hello,
in system settings->system there are Warp and V-Sync checkboxes. What they do? And if u click UI tab, u can find there Proxy Visuals checkbox. What this thing do?

Warp - a pretty effect when you stand near flames that makes things through the flames have a nice heat-haze effect. It doens't happen often, but you can turn it off if it makes your machine slow.

V-Sync - Vertical sync. If unchecked then the game will not worry about where your monitor is up to, and will change the screen when it pleases. Which might mean that the top half of your screen is one-frame behind the bottom half. Uncheck it for speed, it doesn't appear to actually cause this effect anyway.

Proxy visuals are when you get a bog-standard avatar for other players, rather than their customised one. You can also use a slider to change how close they need to be before the customisations kick in.
Turning this on should speed things up.

When you go to west Arch, hit Ctrl-F9 and turn it all on in one go. You'll need it. Then promise never to go to that hellohole of a city ever again.

Hey so..i'm a newbie and i totally messed up. b:beatup
i put my optimized settings to "window"
and somehow managed
to make some of my interface windows that i need disappear,
such as the one that lets me log off and go to my system settings.

I also can't type in the chat box
because the bottom is blocked off by my desktop task bar
and i can't switch back to full screen
because i can't get to my system settings.

Can anyone tip me off? b:sweat

Hit F and go to your friends like. Click 'Blacklist'. That will bring you to the same settings, just a different tab b:victory

Sounds like you changed the resolution. Fiddle around with it (in system settings, the little drop down window with the numbers) until you find something that works.
