LvL90 Weapon Decision

Ok so i could either get the TT90(green) Star Axes(gloom) or can get the tt90Gold GX (berserk) weapon

im obviously in a pve server but i do enjoy the white name hehe so im into both pve(tanking,etc), pvp(tw,pk) aspects in the game.

I guess the question to the experienced barbs is it worth getting tt90 gold(berserk) weapon ?my friends say thats mainly a BM end-game weapon and not really for barbs.. so im kinda in the middle right now..

i could afford either but would obviously take a hit on getting the rest of my gear a little a lower. Any Advice / Suggestions?

u talk like the GX is an easy weapon to obtain

ur friend that told u that is a noob

main thing to do is 90tt armors with good refines, weapon is secondary but GXs are just the best axes till the 100 lunar gold (if u are lucky enough to get with Zerk)

b:shocked Most get glooms if they cant affored GX, but if u can get the GX's, then i insist that you get them ^_^

no.. u need devil axes souledge for scarlet axes... not the gloom star axes u mention

Three paths mainly: (ranked from worst to best imo)

3) Calamity Axes of Blood: Not very good axes at 90 because of their low damage, but the zerk is still good, and it gives the most HP of all axes, except for the 95 Lunar Dragonhunts, which will be a huge waste to get.

2) Star Axes: Very good axes, they grant decent HP and good atk. The Gloom effect is only mediocre - the attack bonus isn't too big, and it doesn't proc much at all. The overall weapon is still very solid and stable. Plus, it's fairly easy to attain.

3) GX (Calloused Lionheart Hatchets): Best pair of axes imo. The damage is nice, and it becames very powerful coupled with zerk, which procs often in both PVP and PVE. I have both star axes and GX, and TBH, GX are more efficient in grinding at 90+. At 90+, you won't do much solo grinding; for a barb, it becomes much more party-tuned. Simply having a cleric around that provides buffs and can toss a heal every now and then is enough to cover up for the HP loss.

The only drawback with GX is in HH...If a herc tanks, you'll be DDing, and it blue ball isn't on, your charm might tick if you don't pot or spark b:surrender

Keep in mind, if you happen to not like zerk, the HH90 Star axes have exactly the same weapon damage as GX b:victory

i think maybe i said it wrong.. I know the TT90 Gold Gx axes are better then Gloom.. i guess my main question was is the price worth it for a barb
as in Berserk > Gloom worth 60m? lol

From a person who has actually had the experience of both (wow you must be richer then me lol)

I know they're not easy to get mainly cus of the cost...But the Mats are there for Sale. I Got the money to do either.

2 choices

1. Focus on maxing out my TT90 Gear and get a so-so Weapon(star axes) easy to get like you said... be like every other 90+ barb out there

OR

2. Get End-Game weapon TT90 gold GX refine +7 and then slowly start doing TT Runs to get TT90(green) Gear and slowly start refining it

I know to you hard-core players it might not be end-game weapon for a barb but im gonna cut down grinding alot at 90.. so might just be my end-game weapon lol. I rushed to 90 real quick.. so now i just wanna chill and just do dailies, fbs, pk, tt runs,..etc b:victory

For all barbs that thinking of getting scarlet axes, u can simply forget it, the % is freaking low and you need 27 more strength to hold it, its like 27 vit will be wasted.

GX need 272str, scarlet need 299str, i will just hold my GX and be a tanker **** PVP build.

I will just use my ornament to get the 27 str i need to hold scarlet axes for fashion :x

Speaking of that actually, i changed myself to a tiger, is there a way on the Forums here to change my avatar?? Becuz it doesnt seem to let me change from a panda to a tiger >.>
