Expiring Quests

Is there a definate relation between quest type and when it expires?

Reason I ask: I'm currently Lv 48. My partner is only Lv 41 now. I left my quests at around Lv 36 to help with hers when she was Lv24. So my quests stacked up. I didn't worry coz as soon as she hit those levels, we'd be doing the same quests together. I kept leveling with FQ & CS.
Now I still have quests open on Lv 37 & 38 but a Lv 39 quest (Evil Force) has vanished?? b:sad There are others but this one stood out now with the 3 bosses on her list.

I now know they expire but surely the older ones would go first?
What is the deciding factor between them? (that a 11 Lv old quest stays and a 9 Lv old quest dies?)

    I believe that only the fb call of duty quests expire. If you get the tabs before the quest expire your are fine though.

    There are definately a lot of other quests missing:
    Lv 38 - The will to betray
    Annoying as it continues in a quest chain which I cannot now do.
    Lv 39 - Evil force
    Lv 39 - Avenging War
    Lv 39 - Wraiths Conspiracy
    Lv 40 - Blade of Fire
    Very annoying as it's a part of the The Seven quest chain
    Lv 40 - The Showdown
    Lv 40 - Seal the Dismal Shade
    Tired of typing now. :p

    Thing is, I could go get an old quest when newer ones are going bye bye. I'm missing out on the quest chains for the rest of the game, The Seven chain only ends Lv 61.
    I read other posts where they say it expires in 10 levels, some say 5. But I picked up quests last night that were 11 levels old. Boring quests mind you, when the cool "younger" chained quests expired.

    Thinking about this more, Dismal Shade was on my quest list pre-patch.
    I remember the name now as I once turned right instead of left there for the FB29. ended badly.
    I've stayed on Lv 48 by feeding my Genie xp for a week now, waiting for Kane to catch up. What are the odds of the patch nailing my quest list? Seems remote though.

    OK, so I think I've identified the problem. Possibly.
    The newest patch added some items to the available quest list. I think that pushed my list past it's display limit and those items were pushed off the list.

    Either that or it was glitched and a server reboot fixed it.
