its such a stupid rule....


how is killing a mob faster than someone else bannable? if you are too slow .. too ****ing bad.. go somewhere else..


if its not against the rule than disregard this thread

    Well if repeatedly do it over and over and over and over again then maybe. It's not like there is a lack of mobs attack something else.

    theres no such thing as 'kill stealing' as theres no rule against it.

    There are rules against it.

    If the same players continuously and purposefully always attack the same mob you do, follow you wherever you go and do it again, then it is an infraction. This fall under the "harrassment" section.

    If someone else is hunting in the same area than you and you both attack the same mob from time to time, then that is permissible.

    there are none, its fairly ambigious to just label it. there is not one explicit rule about 'kill stealing,' ive sent in a ticket about it before in my 20s, and got back basically a 'we cant do **** about it' response.

    It is hard to prove "kill stealing" since u might just be taking screenies of u and another person hitting the same mob and blaming it on another person. If you fraps/video record it will be easier to tell but they cant really do much about it and if your pve its kinda a given you will be ks'd a couple times during ur gamming career there since u cant pk people in ur grind area if their BLUE. However its good if u report it anyways. Why should u report it, cause if more people report one person they (meaning GMs) can kinda get an idea of who is really harrasing players or not. KS is a term thrown around too quickly and in large amounts. If theres only 8 mobs and 3 people in that area ur gonna eventually hit the same mob it happens and the lamest excuse is i hit it first...

    If you want to be REALLY REALLY technical:

    Section 11 of Terms of Service, which is User Conduct, clause (n)....
    (n) Take any action that disrupts the Service or that negatively affects or may prohibit other users from enjoying the Website, the Games or any other aspect of the Service.

    This is generalized, meaning anything and everything.

    The closing agreement is following:

    But really, its about being nice or not, and if you believe in respecting other's on an online game.

    lol if this would be true then eweryone would be baned because of the wraith ewents

    like when theres a low lvl area atacked and a wizard/cleric/archer is kiling the entire existence there and barb/BM is too slow and QQs to a GM then it should get the other ones baned? lol...newer hapened

    yes,its bannable, if the person was there before, and you continuosly attack the same mob he/she is AFTER they have gotten the first shot in, then its considered griefing, which is against ToS, and bannable.

    Banable or not, you should not attack and try to kill a mob that another player is already trying to kill. It's just a matter of being polite. Sure, it'll happens on accident once in a while, but if you do it just because you don't want to wait for a few seconds for more mobs to respawn, that's being obnoxious. You treat others the way you want to be treated. If you happens to keep doing that to one of my faction members after they've politely asked you to stop, expect me to be there AoE-ing everything in sight. "if you are too slow .. too ****ing bad.. go somewhere else.." right?

    QFT. And also in this game ksing shoudl be pretty uncommon even in pve servers. i mean if im doing a quest and someone else is attacking the same mobs I usually just party him. That way we get the quest done 2 times as fast.

    i hope it isnt bannable...i do it accidently all the time, in bushy areas!

    but if someone does it, in the clear, just to be nasty, take a lot of screencaps, and report them.

    Technically it COULD be bannable, if the GM sees fit. However, most likely the person would at the most get a warning. You never know though, if the user has prior offenses on their account, it may merit a higher punishment. It might also be remembered if the person has been found to be "harassing" other players.

    If I accidentally KS someone, I always apologize to make sure that they know it wasn't intentional. No reason to get them angry at me for an accident. >_>

    You have nothing to fear when it does not happen on a regular basis toward the same player. Since there is not mobs lock in this game, accidental KSing is bound to happen.
