Should I Buy a Phoenix?

So I rolled a new Veno on a PvP server, (I have Veno with Nix and Herc on PvE.)

At first I thought, "no spending money on Nix or Herc here." But the Sawfly even upgraded really really sucks compared to the Nix and I'm seeing that at higher levels a Veno without a Nix and Herc is basically useless, or at the very least underpowered.

Now we have this sale on Battle packs going on and I'm very tempted, but I'm thinking are they going to Nerf my investment later based on all the QQrs? Which in my opinion are few yelling loudly because they don't know how to PvP. (and yes I consider Flesh Ream an essential part of a Nix's skillset, because no Veno with Nix, in their right mind would not have it.)

I kinda know this for a fact because there are several skilled non-veno players in my faction that brag about how they can easily pwn any Veno without a Nix. With a Nix it is more of an even challenge.

    It's more like, any veno with a phoenix, that has the slightest bit of skill in pvp, won't need flesh ream to kill anyone.

    Why get them both again? Save yourself the trouble.

    Is this from personal experience against other skilled PvPers? HT is not in my opinion exactly PvP city. My new Veno is on LC, full of high level PKers.

    So you are saying save the money and just be an underpowered Veno. Or maybe switch to another class that doesn't require expensive pets?

    some venos on LC still pvp with a sawfly, but to become a good pvper requires more skill on your part. so it is rly up to you, imo though, get the nix, nix with flesh ream + pvp skill = pwnage.
