Client error?

So I leave my computer on, and my character in catshop overnight. and when I wake up I have some sort of error saying a bunch of things in chinese had a problem or something. it only happens when i'm in catshop too.

I wake up and none of my things had sold probably because I had been disconnected from the server because of the client error thing.

I've submitted it several times now, and I was wondering if there is a way to fix it?


I'm on windows vista home premium, my UAC is disabled. (I still run it as an admin)

Submitting more than one ticket in a day won't help yuo out much. If you can't run the game try verifying files in startup plus give the PWi crew some time to research your issue. There are 100's of requests daily.

In the meantime if you are really hard up and have a real fast internet service, re-install the game and try again.

I was logged off one night and just realized it was a maintanence night so I got booted.

I've gotten that error message before. I've never submitted the information on there because it really...doesn't look legitimate. XD I just submit a ticket instead.

No, I mean, it gives me an error report and asks me to submit something.

I don't use that ticket system.

It's not my internets fualt nor is it any corrupt files until I get into cat shop.

I've gotten that error myself a couple times. One of the times i noticed something just prior to it. The Virtual Memory usage of my computer was almost completely maxed just before the crash. The game itself was only using about 600k (which itself is high for the game, normally its 400k'ish). However the rest of my virtual memory was being eaten up by nothing on the process list, not that much of it. Everyone's heard tales of the bad nasty memory leak of PWI, but someone was telling me it was due to genie textures, one of them being missing & every genie your client sees it opens a new spot in memory to open the texture and it cant, and just keeps trying. In Lagosaur there's genies passing by so often i can only imagine this would increase the rate of the leak exponentially.

However, i did fine a workaround for all this. It seems if your graphics processing isnt active for the game, it doesnt try to do this. I run the game in windowed mode, and whenever any other window has focus, the game halts. Not internally, but graphically its 100% still from the last frame in which it was the focus. So i leave my catshop up & then make sure some other window is open with focus, then the memory doesnt leak absurdly. However when the game isnt the focus for so long, its memory seems to get kind of beuried (in other words runs really slow when it comes back). Often needing me to reboot the client before playing it again.

its just related to the memory leak thats been around for months and have supposedly been fixed as stated by some GMs...

I haven't been able to setup a catshop overnight without dcing in a long time.. Bank is pretty stuffed.
