Our game got mentioned in a pretty popular gaming magazine known as GAME INFORMER, the monthly ran by none other than Gamestop for those who didnt know, as a promising upcoming MMO, along with jade dynasty. way 2 go PW :P.

they specifically thought our PVp system/TW, and character customization was amazing :P.s

Thats kinda true though. PW character customization is awesome. Im guessing that this magazine actually checked the game out and wrote about it, rather than getting paid to write something good about the game.

I can think of another upcoming MMO that looks promising so I wonder if that game got mentioned in the same magazine. I would call this MMO "decent" since most of the MMOs out now are garbage so PWI wins by a longshot.

I would be much happier if there were some feedback on which suggestions that were made actually made it to the devs and got coded. I would also like to see some type of Premium support system so if you spend real life money to buy Zhen and keep the servers online, your ticket would receive higher priority. There are Free MMOs which have that setup and it is great. If I could be a Premium member to PWI for a monthly fee, which included better drop percentages, higher priority ticket support, increased exp gain, and discounted rates on Item Mall - I would be happy to do that.

Pardon my rant since I'm not familiar with the article but I'm tired of reading magazine reviews where every game in the magazine receives 7-8/10 or every game is rated 3/5 stars. The in-game environment is very pleasing with the music, lack of chat and grinding bots, GM constant positive tone on the forum other than one company I won't mention where everytime you criticized their game they would say "If you don't like the game - stop playing." I also enjoy that there are forum events and game events allowing wide ranges of participation rather than 8 "Tiered Spender" events per month, where the only people who have fun are rich people who receive GM-tained items that further imbalance the game (ooo I hope I'm not treading on a sensitive 'area' with how much this certain other company sucks). I would be comfortable letting my little cousins sign on to play Perfect World. I'm also happy that World Chat is filled with in-game drama rather than depressing real-life drama like other games.

I wish magazines and online websites would be a bit more in-your-face with reviews to point out that this area of the game is GREAT and this area DEFINITELY NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. Most sites/zines just say "Oh this game is fun with good graphics and the controls are not very intrusive. Yep."

My best advice to anyone is play a game yourself. Game magazines are Hello Kitty Online towards everyone so they don't lose advertising dollars for giving a bad review.

The biggest achievement for a company should be to please its true gaming audience rather than worrying about the opinion of someone who plays a game long enough to do a review and never logs on again afterward. Another example would be Movie Critics, most of the time the best movies are the ones with the worst reviews because the movie critic is so far out of touch with a normal person.

In the end PWE, grats! Just make sure to put your keep your audience's interests first since we are logged in for more than just a few days it takes to write a "walking on eggshells" article.

lol you should read their reviews on some games, and letter they recieve from fans. some guy wrote a letter whining about a new release, and they pwned him with reasons from his letter why he was acting like a brat. theyre pretty 'in your face,' if a game sucks they tell you -it sucks- hardcore, and trash it badly. (9same with xplay on G4) if they love it theyll tell you, and if its great, they revere it like god :P. theyre pretty well, opposite of what you stated.

Game Informer does a great job of reviewing games, I miss my subscription :( I know that the reviews in there were enough to make me want to play certain games but most of the time I was out of luck based on game system or lack of funds for a cool MMO. I'm sure a lot of people in this economy are in the same vote. So cool that they reviewed a F2P so well... but it's not surprising since PWI is so awesome.

Kudos PWE for getting two games in the mag!

I'll have to say the nay-no on a "premium" support system, as well as to suggestion questions. Firstly, it's not fair to provide such a steep advantage to paying users. Secondly, if I responded to every suggestion posted I would never be able to do anything else, including submitting them b:shocked

    same with xplay on G4

The 3/5 star comment was targeted directly at X-Play since they receive a bad rep for that and try to brush it off during their shows. X-Play also has a bad rep with me for throwing politics into game reviews - they rated a FPS game higher (forget the specific name) than normal because the main character was Native American and they called it an innovation in gaming...

Discarding the other ideas regarding the Premium system, I don't see how priority support for a paying user would be a steep advantage since it wouldn't have anything to do with game balance.

Also I didn't mean that Staff would reply to every suggestion but at least, every two months, posting a summary of what (if any) player suggestions that the developers are considering.

Hurrah!! Can improvements be made? OF course. Is this a top notch game, HECK Yea! The customization alone is OUT OF THIS WORLD! You can even customize your cheeks and nose and .. ummm eyebrows? This is the best F2P MMO going right now. The graphics and community are awesome. Every server has its lemons but you know what I mean.

The Premium member thing actually isn't a bad idea. However; I wouldn't make it a pay for it thing. I do think that the people who spend money to keep the game going should get priority ticketing and help. But nothing in game to unbalance it.

Spoon, a game I came from did something really neat... on holiday and special occassions (usually 24 hours after maintenance or when the servers went down) they did a boost weekend. Like starting on a friday and ending on a sunday night they would give everyone server wide 100% boost. Stackable of course with the boost items you could buy from their cash shop. I think PWI could definitely use this. I also think it would boost their sales during those times. I would be on for 30 of 48 hours if they did this. It is also a good way to say thanks for your time and money. We appreciate you choosing us!

Anyways a suggestion to think about!

Are you talking about Prey? It got a good rating because it's a great game. If they rated it higher because the main character was an Indian, then, yeah, that's screwed up, but when they said it was an 'innovation' they were probably talking to the flawless execution of the gravity switches- there were PLENTY of ways for that to have gone wrong, but instead, it made the game fun and new.

Either way, I agree with you on that at time's they hand out more 3*'s than they should.

I agree with you. Its a horrible idea and it would be the cancer that slowly kills pwi.

The ONLY thing that makes this game unique and brings in the players is the Free to Play aspect of it. If those suggestions were implemented then it would be like every other mmo, and "F2P" (in name only) out there, and all it would have to reel in potential customers is HYPE. And honestly there other MMOs with much, much, much bigger hype. PW could not compete, because few would give it a chance over the other more popular games.

The fact that with hard work you can get anything in game that you can buy with cash is revolutionary. That way even non-cash paying users bring in more cash. Because the cash paying customers use the non_cash payers to trade them gold for coin and sell boutique items to them.

You guys are pioneers and I can see other games adopting your Format of F2P.

BTW my friend has only been playing a month and he spent $40 on this game already. He is the kind of person that would NEVER, ever, ever pay a montly fee of even $7.50 to play a computer game (I offerd to pay half for him). Why did this happen? Because pwi is free to play. Its as free as you want it to be. Pay $100s or pay $0 its up to the player. The choice is yours. and that, is what makes this game truly special.

I'll be getting off the soapbox to give someone else a turn now b:bye
