This game is trying to kill me!

I want to know if this happens to anyone else...

You get to 75%+ and you lag like crazy especially level 70+ too..

I came from a certain **** game which some of the GMs came from, a certain game about flying and fun (Yeah right) and the same thing happened there, As soon as i got above 75% everything would lag like crazy and usually kill me to make me lose EXP QQ

    Haha, I came from that same game and I can relate to what you're saying. It happened there, and it happens here. It's the curse!! (or some might just say it's Sod's law b:chuckle)

    i dont know what game you mean, but are you talking about having the game crash when you are flying WorldQuests? because i never had so many crash report popups before i started doing those...now it happens almost every time.b:angryb:angry

    Err no the game was called something to do with flying and fun. The lag im talking about is delays between attacks and getting attacked like if you was getting dc etc

    I had the same issue in that same other game, (I'm the one that got DrMelvin to leave that for PWI b:chuckle) but it was only when I was about to hit a key level to get new skills or much better armor. I'd get massive lag which would make me constantly die and lose exp.

    At least in this game lag is more forgiving, you can get exp in ways that don't involve killing monsters.

    I came from that game too. I hardly see what it has to do with flying, since the aerial combat, aerocraft selection and flight on this game is vastly superior. And the last thing it was is fun, it was a pure grind fest with the odd useless quest occasionally splashed in.

    This game actually tries to kill me a lot more. I'd be fighting a mob and my hp would be running a little low. And of course, a second one spawns behind me o.o And the mob is like.... >=) "spamma da magicz".... so I'd be spamming teh pots myself and running away like crazy...and of course I'd pick up a boss or two along the way =/ so yeh...I'd be running along with a train of bosses and mobs all having a great laugh playing catch, and you'd think I might have escaped...if I didn't run right into mr world boss..... -.-

    i had a world boss spawn right on top of me while killing a spider today :). my phoenix sacrificed himself so i can retreat.

    Ya, that happens alot. The game kicks me out but my character is still there and gives my charm a beating from mobs I was grinding on until I force log back in.

    The same kinda thing happened to me as i was creating this topic, i dont have charms on since i was grinding for the money to buy more so i was meditating to recover MP and a Firefox spawned in melee distance on me and i came back just in time to be able to heal myself and run away before dying QQ

    Yeah i ment that but i didnt want to promote it since i didnt think it was allowed so i used a method which most people seemed to have gotten.

    You played that same game spoons? Seems everyone has at one point or another. Half the PWE GMs seem to have been from that game. lol

    Yes it does indeed fail. I took a ton of players with me when I came here after they saw how much better PWI was.

    Is there any known relationship between current exp and lag/monster spawns? Things always seem to go bad when you are about to level.

    Not that I know of, but I seem to rarely experience the lag issues that other players post about.

    This all comes back to what I suggested AGES ago which is that this game's servers need to send latency detection packets along to the clients from time to time so that they can see if you DC'd or not. If you DC you should get instantly kicked off the server but instead you just stand there like an idiot while monsters kill you and(or) your friends die and yell at you for not supporting them even though you are not really there...b:infuriated It is EXTREMELY frustrating to say the least and this has to be the only game I have played so far that will let you stay logged THAT long.

    I saw a guy in Secret passage who was dead and has been in the same spot for over a WEEK despite clerics reviving him constantly. That means that he died due to DC and the server has NEVER kicked him out (because I am sure he does not have his computer on for a whole WEEK with his toon just laying in that exact spot).

    and lol i actually had that lag that would kill me or hit me that one more hit to tick my charm around lvl 50-70 but u don't have any probs anymore with that XD

    I came from the same game, and I have to say I experienced the same thing there that I do here - it's just not the same problem as you.

    I have a ton of trouble with lag and other random stuff between 50%-75%. At least that the excuse I use for having so much trouble in that 25% range.

    I don't know why it is that little section of exp that gets me every time - but I'd wager that most players have a little range that gets them alot.

    Mines from the 75% to 100% mark, Proved it yesterday again when i tried to grind again after getting to 87% from WQ + CS, Grinding on firefoxes in land of burning heart and i had a major 5 second lag between attacks, after finishing the 1 man army i moved away from the area to a town and didnt lag one bit b:cry
