Unidentified?

I got some Items from Monsters and there is in blue unidentified on the items.
Are these Stats which are unidentified and how do i identify them?

you can Identify items at the merchant or at the Elder of any town.

Sandclaw - Dreamweaver

Take it to a merchant or the Elder, (and there are several other people that can identify it too) and after it's been identified, it should have a new stat. (I think. I don't get those drops too often.)
