best barb build for pvp?

i was wondering wat the best barb build is for pvp. is it light or heavy. i read tht light is better for hitting and heavy is better for tanking but idk which one would be better overall for pvp. get back to me, thx.

The mass HP a tank build has makes up for the reduced Magic defense.

IMHO Barb in light armor = FAIL

Also on my testings I made (so far on duels) I feel LA Barb build 'works' a lil' better on PvP due to higher hit rate and elemental defense. However the high HP from a Heavy Barb can compensate the lack of magic resistance, givin' you enought time to use a MP pot or to your charm tick.

I saw one arcane barb level 11 and he couldnt kill mobs from his level... what a fail.

I saw a barb with Arcane in archosaur. I'm known to experiment with builds myself but even I did a doubletake.

I have the Dex for LA due to a personal experiment of mine, but I still wear HA. Since I'll be capping my Dex in a couple levels, I won't be able to pick LA forever anyway.

The only viable barb build is 3vit 6str 1dex every 2 lvls. Anything else fails.
You have to understand that sacrificing vit ruins not only your survivability (barb is the only class that can't be soloed at late lvls) but you also gimp your attack. Perdition is the strongest skill in the game and is based only on hp. Don't believe fools that tell you to put more dex in. The sacrifice their invulnerability, rely on low damage skills in pvp and gain insignificant accuracy over this which later 2 acc. rings, 2 acc. shards in weapon, bloodbath and acc. powders are far more than enough, then you see screenshots of them 2 hit by wizards or soloed by archers(lol).

I don't know, I have somewhat of a dex build and it works very well for me. I encourage people to think outside the box and build to their personal playstyle.

I have (w/ gear) 225str/100dex/150vit. This gives me almost 12k hp buffed in tiger which is a bit low for my lv. In the same breath, I was pvping 8x and some 9x in my 7x with considerably less hp. As far as survivability goes, barbs are already equipped to handle sticky situations. (Tiger, Turtle, Tree, Apoth).

I use XS so my physical dmg is somewhat gimped for an 8x even if they are +7. So I found much str beyond what it took to weild them didnt really make much of a difference when swinging away on a 9x. It was the crits and zerks that got the job done most of the time. (I recently restatted off str into vit/dex taking it from 80 to 100)

A str barb using ThunderDeath Edges can get his phys attack up over 6600 and that is a great build. A full vit build has the hardest perdition and with the help of acc powder, you're looking at alot of one shots. However, for my playstyle I don't like my build to revolve soley around blowing my wad on a 2 spark skill. (I have been using perdition more often as of late however)

I went with what worked for me. My perdition still packs a punch and it comes with a 12% crit and 20% zerk. All my gears stack hp other than my xmas blessing and 2% crit rings. The only +acc is from 2 flawless on my weapon. My acc is at 2880 with BB. The extra evasion to dodge things like dragons, nix bleed, the odd archers attack is nice too, although it isnt a major factor or selling point for my setup.

As far as LA goes...stupid. Every Barb should have a full HP HA set. So in order to effectively swap out LA gear you'd have to have that equally refined and sharded. That's money that could be going into making your HA set beefier.

I know when I get my GX I'll have to do a restat to weild em, and I may have to change up my build. But that's down the road and for now I'm sticking with what works.

Really? I believe Lv100 venomancer in Lost City soloed a level 100 barbarian with +8 gear and G8-G9 shards on gears. GG Hell Ironwood Scarab.

barbarians in arcane armor..that sucks because you're gonna add points in magic instead of vitality...and also best for PVP is i think heavy armor because it has high defense
