Rare Zeal Genie (66/70)

After months of genie creation and decomposing, having gone through at least two lvl 70s, three lvl 60s, a few 50s/40s and over thirty lvl 20s, I have finally obtained my ultimate Zeal genie!






Special thanks to Kalvan for trading me his 37/40 Zeal for my 47/70 Zeal. I took the gamble and even sacrificed 9% EXP in pushing the genie from lvl 68 to lvl 70, but it all paid off: 37/40 -> 46/50 -> 56/60 -> 66/70

Need to grind up a bit more spirit for Extreme Poison lvl 10 and, once I get lvl 79 Feral Concentration, I'll probably replace Whirlwind with Fortify. Can't wait til the genie gets to lvl 80 - with any more luck, I might just get 76/80 and end up with 190 energy! Either way, no more inventory filled with genies!

Now I have two flying red fireballs following me ^_^

DarkSniper - Lost City

Nice my Genie has 13/30 and Im thinking of getting rid of it. Im waiting to see what it will get next time and if it's bad then I'm gonna get a new one.

I want one with enough VIT so I can use blade of supreme heat and thunderstorm next to each other but currently my genie doesn't have enough VIT.

I noticed that genie skills can go below 5 :O. Now I can get Dragonfire. I'm still trying to get mine to 90 so it can change.

Deceptistar - Sanctuary

Lucky. =/ By the time RB gamma was well known I entered delta lvl so no SP or EXP to use. Used like 20% of exp on a genie once at lv91 and regretted it like hell lol.

Placement of skills:
F1/F2 attack skills.(If using combo place it on F2) - check
F3 secondary weapon incase weapon breakage. - drop/guess you grind on flying mobs?
F4 skill to do after u kill a mob.(meditate or skill) - check
F5 pickup action - check
F6 combo with buffs (set bufftimer higher for more) - check
F7 hp pots - ToP / check
F8 mp pots - switch hp and mp / check
1 Pet Heal (for venonmancer/werefox) - combo heal / check
2 Pet Feed (for venonmancer/werefox) - no need to feed (blessing) / check?

Now if only i new where i have seen this setup up before, hmm? b:shutup

I've been told a few times that I have similar setups as other venos (my original setup is based off that used by CutieEyes who taught me how to play veno) but its not surprising. I have three skill setups as followed (note that the third line of the function hotkeys isn't shown but pressing Tab toggles between it and the current function hotkey line):

Dungeons/HHs:
F1 = Venomous Scarab, the spammable skill that I just hold down on bosses. Alternately, in solo HH, 1 is the spammable heal that I just hold down while I watch anime ; 3 Occasionally press F8 on the other end of the keyboard for HP/MP swapping in solo HHs since I don't use an HP charm. Wait till MP's almost gone, then swap and let my HP charm tick which, last time I calculated, is more cost effective than using an MP charm (although there have been quite a few times where I'm not paying attention and run out of MP, resulting in my pet's death and mine soon thereafter).

Grinding:
F2 = Grinding macro: Venomous -> Ironwood -> Venomous -> Pet Heal -> Venomous -> Pet Heal -> loop (although mob's usually already dead by the first heal). On some mobs the venomous + ironwood + venomous makes me take aggro, so I often swap F2 with one of my other grinding macros. Since both Metabolic Boost and Nature's Grace pretty much allows me to not worry about MP recovery, I use them frequently enough in grinding to put it on function hotkeys (although since I'm always swapping things around, sometimes they get mixed up) with F4 and F6 being the only open slots as I use F5 to pick up items (on my physical keyboard, there's a space between F4 and F5 that allows me to press the right key without looking down).

PvP:
Not shown in the screenshot but I have the following: F1 = Ironwood, F2 = Lucky Scarab, F3 = Fly, F4 = Venomous. During PvP I use eight buttons: F1, F2, F3, F4, F7, F8, 2 and 3. Open with F2 + 2 (index + ring finger) and follow up with F1 + 3 (index + pointer finger), then spam F4. F7 and F8 are used in dire situations when my HP gets low. Since I'm also an avid S4 League player, I have F3 as fly (in S4 League, F3 = plasma sword for when players get too close and the rifle becomes useless). Use to have F3 as pickup and F5 as fly but I keep pressing F3 instinctively in PvP due to S4 League, so I swapped them.

The second row of function hotkeys are commonly used one-timers/macros. First two are the damage-absorb PvP pot and the Yuanxiao HP pot for PvP. The next three are all macros that are situation-dependent (usually used in dungeons) that I use depending on how hard the mobs hit my Gundam. The next two are just buffs also for PvP and the last is Soul Transfusion as, when its PvP against a veno'nixer, I put bloodclot on F8 (but I may need Soul Transfusion to survive). As for the numbers hotkeys, apart from 1 for HH and 2/3 for PvP, I just don't use them since the number keys are too physically close to the letter keys. The entire second line of number hotkeys is for TW foxform skills/vs barbs. Other than for PvP, I don't use my genie at all - stamina usage in grinding is a waste in my opinion.

Other venos I've seen have different setups, but almost every veno I've seen has F1 as venomous scarab, 1 as pet heal, and F8/6 as soul transfusion. Apart from that, I can't say much other than see the venomancer subforums for more tips.
