Veno FB/TT soloing questions...

I'm currently leveling a $grinder (also referred to as venomancer
).
I do have some questions though to set my goals. I hope to get some response, since I looked for ages for a good thread about this, but never found one. I'm sure this will also be handy for other people.
So here's the shot:
My findings:
FB19 successfull completion
Currently level 44, and not able to finish FB29 boss (Qingzi) with Magmite.
Now it's up to you to write down your findings.
Thanks in advance!

I do have some questions though to set my goals. I hope to get some response, since I looked for ages for a good thread about this, but never found one. I'm sure this will also be handy for other people.
So here's the shot:
- Can anyone give me a good listing of the level required to successfully solo a certain FB (19,29,39,...) and TT? "Be lvl 100 for fb39" is not the answer I'm looking for, off course
. I'm interested in the lowest level possible to succeed.
- Can you please write down which pet you used at that level and also what special kind of equipment/weapon you used?
I'm mostly interested in non-Cash shop pets, since that's the reason I want to solo grind to get the $ for it. I use the Volcanic Magmite (pretty much same stats as Crystalline Magmite, so refer to it as Magmite in general).
- If some bosses are to be skipped, please add note.
- Please also mention your stat build at that time (if you remember)
- Please mention if a certain pet/veno skill has to be used/bought (consider Pet Heal as always maxed)
My findings:
FB19 successfull completion
At level: 33
Stat build: Almost full magic:
- HP: around 20
- STR: minimum needed
- DEX: 20 (mistake made in beginning levels, only advantage: +1% crit)
- MAG: every other point invested
Pet: Magmite (Volcanic)
Equip:
- Weapon: fb19 3* weapon
- Equip: some +mag equipment (not that many difference)
Currently level 44, and not able to finish FB29 boss (Qingzi) with Magmite.
Now it's up to you to write down your findings.
Thanks in advance!

I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I found that I could do FB19 at lv 31 using a Snow Hare to pull and Volcanic Magmite to attack, with an Arcane Venomancer with mostly magic, with about 20 strength, 50 vitality and 80 magic (Something like that I can't really remember). I got a weak mold and some DQ items and equipment, but I found it very educational at least.
I basically just pulled and defeated the mobs one or two at a time, and occasionally taking a few hits. When I got to the boss I had to spam heal and use genie skills to weaken it. But I did it!

I should warn you that in theory a Lv 19 veno can make it to the end. But while there are some who claim to also be able to beat the boss, I really don't see how. But who knows? May pure magic makes heals that must more powerful.
In fact, I encourage any venos to tell me how the heck they did it at lv 19!

Copypasta'd your form lol.FB19 successful completion
At level: 31
Stat build:
* VIT: 20-30ish at the time
* STR: 20ish
* DEX: 6
* MAG: 140-150ish at the time
Pet: CMag
Equip:
* Weapon: fb19 3* weapon (Trial pataka, 2x common magatk shards)
* Equip: I forgot lol. Had some +mag, +vit probably.
Drops: (in case you wanted to know >.>)
* Mirage sword mold
* Various 3*
I did fb19 from levels 31-33, stopped getting anything but coins after 34.
I've tried fb29 at 43 with CMag and Mirage Sword, killed everything except Qingzi (can't heal fast enough lmao). I hear you'd need to be at least 53 for better pet heal =/ Of course, then drop chance is pretty null =/[offering art commissions, pm for more]0 -
Also wondering the same myself. I use a veno to make money, and while I can solo fb19 easily enough it's not usually worth it compared to simply grinding same-level normal mobs for drops.
Fb29, I haven't tried yet. Curious what level you need to be for fb39+ with a mag. My gf runs a veno as her main and is lv48 atm. My own veno is lv36. We could probably team up for fb's and double heal the one pet for bosses. (managed to kill krixx this way at lv34 and lv44)0 -
Fb29 Successful Completion:
At level: 55
Stat build: Pure Mag
* HP: around 2k
* STR: minimum needed
* DEX: 12 (Equipment bonus stats)
* MAG: rest of points
Pet: Shaodu Cub lvl55
Equip:
* Weapon: lvl50 stash weapon
* Equip: some +vit equipment
Drops: Coins for the win....b:sad
I can throw in a couple attacks in between heals. I'm not sure if lvl53 is the requirement lvl for fb29, since I can throw in a couple attacks in between heals, I'm guessing you might be able to finish fb29 at lower lvl. But I never tried lol
Fb39 Successful Completion:
At level: 60
Stat build: Pure Mag
* HP: around 2.5k
* STR: minimum needed
* DEX: 17 (Equipment bonus stats)
* MAG: rest of points
Pet: Shaodu Cub lvl60
Equip:
* Weapon: Ancient Arbor + 2
* Equip: some +vit equipment
Drops:
Some random 3* weapons and... Wheel of Fate b:cute It took me around 10 runs...
Again, I can throw in a couple attacks in between pet heals, except Farren! His aoe can hit me T.T I think at lvl63 after you upgraded your pet heal, you will be out of his aoe range... but I'm not sure...Moved to WoW b:bye0 -

The person who recently claimed to have killed the boss at 19 (or low 20s) said she just put the pet in follow mode every time she fell behind on heals. The boss would start chasing and thus the damage would stop, giving her time to heal. Then she'd have the pet attack again while she spam healed. During the 1-2 second channel gap between your heals at that level, she ran back away from her pet so she'd have more room to tell the pet to follow next time she fell behind again. Sounds like it would work.
FB29 with a c.magmite, I was able to do at 53 with a light armor build and L48 quest glaive. I was *barely* unable to do it at 48, so I think with a volcanic magmite (for tough) and arcane build you could do it. Qingzi seems to have some sort of attack speed buff (which doesn't show up as a buff) which he uses every 5-10 minutes. At 48 I managed to get him down to 50%-70% several times, only to have him use this buff, and was unable to heal my pet quickly enough to survive it. Tough could have made the difference.
Also be aware that wizards and clerics claim Qingzi's attacks are earth-based. So a magic tank may have an easier time of it than the magmite. His regular attacks are ranged IIRC, so an eldergoth wouldn't help. I could be wrong though. An oddfoot or carapest/antelope might do the trick. His attack stats are wicked though - as high as the FB39 bosses'. Meaning...
If you can kill Qingzi, you can probably kill the FB39 bosses. I soloed it with a LA build and 2-star L54 magic sword for the first time when I was 54. It isn't easy though. I imagine with a Wheel of Fate or the new supply stash L50 sword, you'll have a much easier time than I did.
First boss, Farren, is melee and has a medium-range physical AOE so you have to line up with your pet exactly between you and the boss, and heal from max range. He's also got a large-range AOE which slows your channeling speed. I only had a c.magmite so died several times to that AOE. A v.magmite would be able to fire tough when that AOE hits to get through it, although occasionally he'll use it twice in quick succession. At higher level you can use a spark eruption to power up your heals to get you through this. (At lower levels, the cast time to spark will probably cause your pet to die.) He's just really annoying because of this and a lot of times I skipped him.
Second boss, Calcid, is mixed melee/magic, about 4-5 melee attacks per magical attack (a DOT or occasionally a DD). Pretty easy with a magmite. He switches to all-magic if you use a ranged pet, and his magic attacks seem to have a lower DPS. So an marksman should have an even easier time with him.
Last boss, Tiroc, is magic-only. You can kill him with a magmite at 54, but you'll be spam healing. I tried my cub on him and was able to heal, DD, heal, DD, heal, etc. An oddfoot or antelope might do even better since he has no physical attacks as best as I could tell.
FB51 is about where you start getting into herc-required territory. The first boss, Fushma, is pretty straightforward. Ranged, doesn't seem to have an special buffs or attacks. I never did figure out if his attacks were physical or earth-based, as my magmite could tank him at 63 with a heavy build, TT60 sword.
Next boss Rankar is a PITA. He's got a mediocre physical attack which my magmite could tank and I could heal. But he's also got a short-range physical AOE and a medium-range magical AOE. At 64 my magmite only lasted a maximum ~20 seconds - a magical AOE followed by a big physical hit would kill it. My cub died too, but I was a heavy build. I switched to a herc at this point, but a magic build might be able to do it with a cub. Just wear arcane armor, stand at near maximum range to avoid the physical AOE. Tank the magical AOE (its range is bigger than your heal range so you can't avoid it). Use potions to heal yourself back up.
The last boss, Myriadtail Wyvern, is herc-only unless you're like 20 levels higher. He's got a physical AOE which is annoying, but the real killer is his pdef debuff. After he uses it, even a 65 herc with buffs takes ~1400-1600 damage per hit. For regular pets that's probably a one-shot kill.0 -

How did you get that blue bar on your pets bar?Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0 -
On my veno alt i did fb19 from 31lvl. Winged fb is easy, untamed is long, human has nasty boss (i dont know what it does but at about 25% hp damage becomes much heavier, i even died once). About 20 fb19 done, most gave me nice drops with 3* items; 100k/fb revenue on average.
Fb29 is yet to complete, 43 veno is too low for that, at least with cheap weapons. Fb is easy but boss hits VERY hard, i just cant heal that damage. May be i could with wheel of fate but i don't want to invest those moneys lol. Funny, but golem sucks in this fb, both ***-astral beetle and shaodu cub are doing it better... that is, dying slower lol. Just a bit slower but still. First boss with combined phys/mag attack, as i get it.--

My experience is similar to Solandri's except as arcane rather than light. The differences are that against Qingzi, as arcane I could barely keep my pet up at 52 and would fall behind on heals (I had a volcanic and crystaline with base skills at this point, I think I used the volcanic here). Having channeling gear or even a lot of +magic gear probably would have made it doable. If the magic based attack assumption is true, I bet it could be done sometime in the 40's with an antelope. At 53 doing it with a Crystaline Magmite is a certainty. It's doable at 43 with a herc, maybe earlier but that's the lowest I've met someone that's done it.
Farren I had no issues with at 53, and had him contribute to getting my Crystaline Magmite a full set of upgraded skills. Healing it was doable with the channeling slow, but the fight was really really boring. Eventually getting a WoF made healing easier, as did enough farming to add threaten and tough to the magmite. The only real thing to be careful of with a base magmite is the start as you need to get things lined up perfectly, and do so while being able to heal pretty much right away. In hindsight, it would be better to use a Volcanic here rather than a Crystaline until you can afford to upgrade the Crystaline because tough is a huge help when starting the fight. Also, don't spark in fights like this where you have to chain heal, nothing good can come from making your pet miss a heal, infact if you work the numbers out you lose overall healing with spark eruption (small gain with advanced spark eruption, but not enough to justify missing the heal in a tough fight where using it would be tempting).
At 53 Calcid can be done with a golem or a marksman, Being dumb at the time I didn't know how to make a marksman attack from range, so when I say it could do it, I mean it could stand in there and tank.
Trioc was doable at 53 as arcane, using a crystaline magmite.
Fushma was the same (but lower level) but Rankar is considerably different. Being arcane you'll have an easier time standing in his fire ae, though you would probably still die first due to having less hp, it's considerably less dps and easily potion healed (or even tree of protection now). Magmite did him at somewhere between 53 and 63, since that's what was required for a Magmite to do Fushma as well I never tried him at a lower level.
Myriadtail is a beast, and the thing that eventually made me get a herc. After the magmite got destroyed due to the curse, I decided to level up to 63 and try it again... still destroyed (by being 1 shotted). All I can say is if you're using a magmite you're going to need to be atleast 73 to heal it. I saw one person here post 83 but I'm not sure of the truth in that. If you use a herc it's doable at 63.
The FB59 bosses can all be range tanked, supposedly that beats tanking up close but I honestly never tried it. If so you could probably do them with a marksman at 63. Otherwise you need a 63 herc or a 73+ (not sure what level really, just that an upgraded crystaline magmite at 67 still got wrecked) magmite to pull them off. These guys have boatloads of hp though, they're seriously 15-20 minute fights with a herc, if a marksman can pull it off at 63 through range tanking, be prepared to sit there healing for a very long time.0 -

It's the channeling bar for Heal Pet, they just put their pet bar partway over where the channeling bar goes.[offering art commissions, pm for more]0 -
Well, these are answers I was looking forward to
.
Thanks a lot for the comprehensive responses!
If anyone has other tips regarding this matter, keep 'm coming.

Oh, that was the channeling bar on one of my heals. I placed the pet bar in that space so I could see better. It does look kinda funny, huh.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
