Attack rate

If someone already posted about this,then I'm sorry for asking it again,but I searched and couldn't find anything.

which is the faster weapon, one with a 1.00 attack rate or one with 1.25?
it seemed logical to me that the 1.00 was faster because I thought that would be the faster time,but now I'm not so sure.Does anyone know?

    Smaller number = faster attack rate.

    the higher the number, the faster it is. id believe thats how many attacks per second it can do, not sure.

    fists, magic swords, and slingshots are the fastest weapons.

    1.25 attacks/second would be faster because (for example) bows have .63 attacks/second meaning it would take 2 seconds to deal 1.26 attack(s) (as in the 2nd one is starting). While a 1.00 attacks/second would already have done 2 attacks in those 2 seconds.

    However if you are a magic caster it probably doesn't matter what the attack rate is, since so many skills take way more than 1 second to cast.
