How can I get more spirit points?

Before I realized that spirit points were the points you spent to get new skills, I used most of them to level my genie. Now I don't have enough for the skills I could learn from the trainer. I understand that you get more from killing monsters or doing quests, but I'm getting them only at the rate I'm leveling at, so... Let me explain. I'll be at level twelve and have not enough spirit points to get the skill I could learn. By the next level I finally have enough points. However, I also have a new skill to learn. But I can't get enough points for that until another level, but then another skills pops up to be learned. Is there any way I can get caught up and gain points faster than I level?

die a lot, you dont loose spirit when you die, or just dont worry about it youll have surplus spirit at higher levels, lower level skills take less spirit to level anyways so yah best bet is just keep leveling up

bad advice....you wont gain/lose spirit, but you WILL lose exp.

fortunately, you are low enough level for that not to be a problem, but it will be, as you level up.

Start pumping exp into your genie instead and then level it all back and you'll have a nice bit of spirit. Dieing is a bad idea. If your current genie is too high, level a new genie and sell it on later.
CS can give a nice boost of spirit too. At later levels you'll find you have tons of surplus spirit, so if you can bear with it for a little, you'll soon find you have all the spirit you need.

Of course! Getting experience at 14 is such a hard task, right? Oh wait, what do the skills cost at that level anyways?

Either way, you don't get to level skills on every level, rather you get them on intervals of a few levels. The intervals tend to vary based on skills so you might end up with getting a skill on, say, x4 and x9 and x1 and x6. That is, 11, 14, 16 and 19, for example. That's the pattern with some of the Archer skills until 49. And as you can see, there's nothing on 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18 and 20, which actually leaves you with more levels without having the cap of your skill bumped up by one. Also, you can learn those skills on any level, just that the cap only goes up on certain levels. So even if you miss a skill it's not a problem, as you can upgrade it as soon as you see the need to.

And on the lower levels, it's not like you even need to keep all of your skills updated. That is, missing a level or two won't exactly make it impossible. If you think so, get to 30, then you can level up once every few days just by whipping out some coins.

To actually answer the question: Killing monsters, completing quests, Scarlet Fruits and there was some really expensive item that gave spirit.
If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.

Umm, nobody has mentioned yet, you don't have to get EVERY skill whenever it becomes available, nor to lvl it up every time it is due, and sometimes you only need that particular skill to get the next skill in the skill tree, so leave it at 1 and lvl up skills you find more useful. I tend to use around 4 skills mainly at the moment, so why spend points lvling up 20 or so I rarely use. So I save those skill points for when I need them. At the moment at my lvl money is more an issue than spirit, I have all the spirit I need, but can't barely to pay for the skill and upgrades :-(

Protip: dont give your genie jack until youre high level, you wont really need it till then.
Protip: it gains 10% exp of what you earn in quests and kills, but doesnt subtract from you.
Protip: use the anniversary event to get oracles, and ask for help killing the spider king, youll get lots of spirit.
