genie problem

I infused an exp cube into my lvl 1 genie, got her to lvl 8, but now I can't switch the exp infuse method. I'm stuck on "Infuse with EXP cubes" while I'm trying to use "Infuse with Spirit." Clicking the little circle next to it does nothing >.<

Is this a known issue with a solution?

EDIT: LOL nevermind. Trade state was the issue.
