Unfair contests :(

Does anyone else feel that they feel that contests held by GMs are unfair. I been ripped off so bad :( First calendar contests then Ninetails event ( I bought 22 eggs and got nothing, while other got it on there 2nd egg), and now fastion contest (which I spent nearly 2 million to buy my outfits) . Really is anyone feeling that they are treated unfairly in these contests. If you are, speak up and let the GMs know, because this is unjustice. I have nothing against GMs, but the contests are really unfair. I took a survey aswell, nearly 65 people from Heavens Tears stopped doing the contests because of the lack of fairness.

    The rainbow eggs have like a .02 chance of getting a ninetails mount I think. So its not so surprising that you didn't get one.

    For the eggs, try to get into lucky mode doing that maybe?

    For the other contests - there are ALWAYS winners and losers
    It is nothing to get upset about...

    Of course it would make anyone upset, having spent as much coin under it and gaining absolutely nothing in the end...

    It's just like with the genies... When they first came out, everyone started stupidly spending their EXP and Spirit to level it up. But eventually they got to get disappoined... And got mad the same way.

    It's a game. Like gamble. Easy to fall for it. Easy to let it get to you...

    Not that any of this that I just have said will help but... Just stainding there and whining won't make anything better. GMs can't make anything better (if they would consider with you, they would have to consider with other, maybe hundreds of people who entered them... If they wouldn't - that'd be unfair again).
    That is the nature of competition.

    The only way to get yourself on the wellness-road again is to start doing something. Go grind your coin back... For example... Because there is nothing else you can do... Or anyone else... Well except for pity... :)

    I'm going to host a player-hosted event this Friday giving away my wizard's stuff. It would be fairer than most GM hosted events. b:victory

    Actually a .02% chance, which is a .0002 chance, which is 1 in 5000.
    How much were the eggs? 1 gold?
    Assuming they were 1 gold, you could expect to pay 5000 gold per ninetail, or with current gold prices at 120k (on HT) thats 120k*5000=600,000,000 gold. (yes thats 600 million)
    Sorry OP but you got sucked in to gambling on very poor odds.

    Consider checking the pwdatabase for your odds first next time.

    Amazing. Even though it was obvious your chances were slim as only a handful of players win in each server, you still went ahead and wasted all that money thinking you would be easily rewarded and when you failed big as you yourself knew would happen, you come here to call it unfair?

    That statement is untrue for the calendar contest mentioned previously, no money is needed to open an art program and make a calendar.
    I do not mean to offend the actual creators of the artwork, people need to understand that the art stands on its own, but I must agree that there were much better entries than some of the ones that have won.

    I must say that the fashion contest selection disappointed me, but creativity is ofc limited to game fash available
    I wonder if the GMs don't like springside skirts ^^. One of the latest fashions, none of 10 winners with one.

    I wouldn't consider the egg event a contest. That would involve skill, or ability. If you want to risk your coin, don't QQ to us about it please.

    I thought this thread would be about unbalanced abilities or something where someone felt veno's with nix's had an unfair advantage to which I'd reply: who that spends 20m+ on their weapon doesn't have an unfair advantage? -Ah well. Cheers to poorly titled threads.

    Just using logic here, would that mean the other 2000+ ppl think they are fair? So we are supposed to change the way things work for 3% of the people that don't agree? How is that fair to the rest?

    I've never bothered to ask or check how many people on one server so 3% might even be a high estimate. b:victory

    locked because the above is a true statement. If you're going to be a sore loser, please don't participate, it's an insult to the people who compete with 500 others to try to win.
