Class Colour

Hey,

I was playing around and noticed that the same class can have different coloured little class symbols beside their heads.

For Example: The symbol for clerics is a little healing hand. I have seen both red versions and green versions of this. What does the colour mean? Lvl? I've determined it can't mean being in battle vs. not being in battle, since I have an archer who has a red bow all of the time.
