to many afkers at npcs

so i go to pick up something like my cs and WQ and i hardly target those npcs cause there are people standing everywhere especially if theres a veno with something like a nix directly in the npc
its becoming really annoying lately
do all these people have to afk at that place cant you just take a few meters distance so people can finish and pick up those quests

call me ignorant for posting this but really its not funny anymore
its impossible to always do the right thing we all make mistakes i am not different from that
just try to be a good person

english isn't my native language so there might be a few spelling/grammatical errors in my posts

    If you're in Arch, just do something like turn your Distance (under UI I think) down and hold down [Shift] to click on the NPC. If you're anywhere else just hold down the [Shift] and click on the NPC.

    Easy solution. Hold down shift and click on the NPC you want. Cursor will ignore all player characters.

    I agree its a pain that everyone has to go AFK on the NPC face. When i do CS i pick it up and am a good 20 meters or more away from the NPC becuase there is no point in making out with the NPC while i wait the 10 mins

    Its also problem that you lag more when you go to NPC.

    The majority of people who are afk at an npc like WQ or CS were auto-naving to pick up the quest, and have yet to return to the game, making it impossible for them to move a couple of meters away from the npc. Now I know you are going to say they should auto-nav near the npc instead of on top of it, but it is easier to just click the npc's name in your quest window than it is to set up a normal auto-nav.

    On top of that you can always just turn down the distance that you can see people at and/or press shift to click on the npc.

    Auto path doesnt cancel flyght, so thats not reason. You cant auto path if there is a wall in fron of you.

    you can have autopath cancel flight, and i think its worse when peope setup shots directly in front/on top of npcs, although more and more people right adovce npcs blocking quest shield on them since autopath has been implemented

    I agree! There are also times that there are so many people in front of NPC's that I can't even get close enough to click the Shift button to go thru them. Yes I could merely use my buttons to walk with the S and D but then if you can't see the NPC you don't know where to click. People who auto path to NPC's are in the air when they stop thus they pose NO problem. Other than adding to the lag in west arch. However, those who like to drop down on top of the NPC to set up a shop on their head and then the other 30 people around the NPC 3/4 of which are AFK make it hard to even see or click on the NPC.

    If this was the main problem (clicking shift to go thru the people) I'd have left this thread alone. But the main problem is its getting so bad you can not even see the NPC to click on them. There are people covering them over the top and in every angle. Also as I said being able to get close enough to click is also becomming an issue.

    Yes arch is the most used town, but if someone is shopping for a specific item they will go to where all the shops are. Which would be nice if they weren't right there bunched up by the NPC's we use most.

    Would be awesomeif people would move selling locations like in the very center of arch where all the water is. I've noticed on HT that a lot of people have started moving shops to south arch and other places.

    Most people set up Shop in west district for a reason. It is where the most trafic is in the game. Everyone over level 20 at some point has to go through West Arch to do things. Thus it is only natural that people would want to sell there!

    Its the same on PWI Private Servers... No one is in Arch in shops.. theres no need, because MOST people hang out in 1k Streams for Heaven and Hell. There is tons of shops and people in 1k on that server. Its cause thats where the people are. You can't sell anythin in a place where people aren't yanno XD

    Yes but if the majority of people set up shops at Anglers Village(just example) then people would go to that spot to look for stuff they want to buy. IF someone is looking to buy something they will go where the sellers are. No matter where they are located.

    In order to reduce some problems with the fact so many are stacking up around NPC's it would be nice as a community if we could all agree to go to a different location(not necessarily different town) to sell stuff.

    Not all people GO to west arch to shop. Some people jsut happen to be doing other things nad stumble upon a shop that has something they impulsively want. See where I am going with this? It's not targeted specifically at those looking to shop, there will always be those adn they will go where the shops are. But a lot of people are impuslive shoppers. The same principles apply in the real world. Deciding where to put a store is an exacting science about there the people are.

    How about making the area around the CS NPCs a PK-enabled zone, even on the PvE servers? I betcha that would take care of the problem! b:chuckle

    Don't even try to lay this on us Venos. I've seen plenty of all-class bunnies, birds, butterflies, and assorted pets left out by everyone. By far, the most annoying thing is when someone steamrolls in on a Nienbeast and just engulfs the NPC. That mount is the absolute worst offender.

    The Nienbeast is Perfect World's Hummer. You either realize they're hideously gaudy and are for people who think sharing the road is a sign of weakness, or else you have one. There is no middle ground.

    It's not even pets that are the problem most times. People don't leave pets out cause it lags them as well as everyone else. The problem is the catshops located next to, in front of, behind, on top of, and in the **** of every freaking npc in West arch.

    Yeah, spare a thought for the npcs. THey don't like being smothered by people like zombies on pulsating warm brains.
