Should i get a Phoenix or Hercules?

(LMAO FOR THE NEXT POLL FOR ALL YOU VOTERS, IT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO GET SOME FEEDBACK, INSTEAD OF SEMI-RANDOM VOTES)

I'm starting to save money to buy SoF and Feathers and after reading a few pages about Legendary pets i'm trying to figure out if a Light Armor Veno can own a Herc. and still be able to solo high lv mobs for rare drops or boss?

i did read that you should get a Herc. first then use him to get your Nix in a few weeks tops...

or am i better off getting a Nix and nuking everything in sight and forget about soloing alot cus i have a faction members to help me with that.

I'm not that PVP crazy but when someone does attack me i will like to have the power to kill them w/o having them running away from me. (Nix)

But on the other hand who doesn't want a mini barb following them around being able to tank almost anyting and get rare drops and what not. (Herc)

so with that said i'm kinda split between the Golden Buddaa and the Flaming Chicken

    Rare drops are gonna remain rare. I had 2 molds drop in FB79 for me today, both worth 200-250k now. Considering how much the wines would cost, and how many times I don't get a mold, I'd say it's not worth it. Your exp will suffer as you spend a half hour holding down the pet heal button for ~1000xp. You aren't likely to make coin faster with a herc, it's more of an independence /empowering/ different way to play thing. Higher levels = faster coin: slow xp tanking bosses = common molds that you have the burden of trying to sell. The Nix can help you tear through mobs faster, and after lvl 70 it shouldn't be long until you could afford both. At level 80 it's easier to earn one than level it imho.

    I did get a Misty Forest Ring that sold for 8m, and about 6 flame boots molds for over 1m ea, but I spent a hell of a lot of time soloing FB's.

    yeah i'm going to get the Phonenix, i think i rather get faster exp than having a another tank.

    Get the hercules. You can drag it through the cube if you need to lvl it but its pretty easy to lvl if its full. I'd recomend getting a Mystical Tome asap because meat and hay and stuff are usually pretty rare.

    Once you got a herc you can tank everything and you become very near immortal as long as you got your pet.

    Also with the herc you can grind a ton of money and get nix later.

    - Bleh: Waste of time, coin, and potential xp.

    Level 1-~35: 1 hit AoE the spiders/ scorpions/ mantas near Hidden Orchid. Level ~35-60 2 hit the spiders, scorpions and mantas on Dawn's Cry Island. ~60-80+, start taking on your level mobs. When your done, sell all those rare oils for a good profit!
    I'd recomend getting a Mystical Tome asap because meat and hay and stuff are usually pretty rare.

    Don't feed your Nix hay: it's a quest item that sells for 6k and up and has one of the most stable values in the game. Ginseng is common and affordable. A tome is a must have for all pets. Meat is cheaper now that people know about tomes. Tomes are more common, and the good farming spots for meat (fire part of fb59, 9 tailed firefoxes) are heavily farmed. Venison used to run ~70k, but is now a hard sell for 50k.
    Once you got a herc you can tank everything

    I have yet to see or even hear of a Herc tanking Polearm or Gaurnob in fb69, Jewelsclalen, or Krimson Eyes of the Beyond. Hercs also disappear in water, and can't fly.
    Also with the herc you can grind a ton of money and get nix later.

    This is way off. If you're referring to mold farming, check the prices lately. Molds that use to run 700k are now selling for around 200k. -Unless you're on one of the newer servers I suppose. I got 2 molds from fb79 yesterday, both worth less than 250k ea. A few runs in a row I got nothing. Guess how much it cost to buy wine for a 79 run.. -Where's the money? Dungeon farming also cost you potential XP which also leads to faster coin. If you're referring to grinding normal mobs, well that little AoE thing veno's do is slower than killing one on one with a Nix or a decent ground pet with howl. It's a nice change of style for playing, and it can conserve mp, but it's not going to rake the coin in any faster. I'm not sure, but it seems to me like there are less drops per mob when AoE grinding.

    Yes the Herc can tank everything, but will it be able to keep up to the Phoenix raw power, and fast killing on the map. And I doubt I’ll be “(Nearly) immortal" with him, the Nix might have lower defense but greater attack. And in a pvp situation I think the winner is the player who can dish out the most attacks in a matter of sec. or min.

    Yeah that is true, but I’m not that patient of a Veno, I think I’m more oriented towards Damage dealers then having an Iron Shield with me.
    And keep in mind I’m in a PVP server so what will be best in those servers?
    Thanks for you feed back but so far my mind is set on getting a Nix.

    If you love HH like things then Herc is perfect, else phoenix

    I went for Herc first cause i love doing HH and so, then later i got nix and noticed that its superiour in grinding (so also in gaining coin through grinding)

    So Herc is only good if your a HH like player and nix is good for grind / pvp / coin

    U said u r killed on a PK server.Well with herc u make money fast and good from dungeons and u can buy best equipment legendary for u..many ppl dream to have this b:sad b:surrender.My prority would be :
    1. Herc
    2. Best Equipment (which mean grind with herc for good/rare items in dungeons,Cube,TT - to keep the lvl at a good drop rate for a boss best option its to lvl up geniesb:victory - u can sell those cubes too by decomposing genies)
    3. Nix

    Are you people even speaking from experience? This isn't the case on the server I'm on. Yes, you can do more with a Herc, but that more has been so exploited that it's lost value! I didn't even want the Nix, but got it because I had the coin. Now that I have it, I love it. You can eat a big mac, make sweet love to yourself, and grind fast all at the same time with a Nix. That = faster xp and faster coin.

    I kind of wish I'd gotten a nix instead of a herc for grinding purposes. It is nice not having to depend on other players to help with bosses/tt/whatever, but once you get to the point where you spend more time grinding than anything else... well, you'll want a nix. lol.

    well get those 2 legendary pet....if u can afford to buy it....it doesnt matter if u buy a herc or nix first..most important u have one of those......or the best is u have both...b:victory b:pleased

    I would rather get a nix because i think with a nix you would grind more faster and get more coins and stuff. plus, flaming chickens are so much better lookin than a golden buddha. and anyways, nixs have great power in pvp and can kill thru stuff so fast.
    So if i were you, id chose nix and with all that grinding, you can get a herc(if u choose so)
