Infamous (Minor change).

Hello,

I think PKing people should have a more "realistic" punishment.
People that PK a few people doing quests, will be red and afterwards leave their computer on and AFK in town. I dont think thats a real punishment at all.


Here are a few ideas;
1. The infamous- time should not tick while you're being in town, or dead.
2. The infamous- time should not tick while you're being Idle.
3. Remove the entire Infamous status as its just sleeping your way through it.


Either would work fine. I personally would like the first one, as I think the punishment should be a
punishment and not a night of sleeping.
This way the PKers have an actual punishment, and you as PWI will make more money as company due to people buying more dolls (most likely).

Sleeping your way through a punishment is not a punishment at all.

    Eh, you seriously do not get the point do you?
    Do you see point #3? It says "Or just remove the whole infamous status"
    Cos' sleeping through a "punishment" is no punishment at all.
    I dont care being PKed I just thing the "punishment" is it not a punishment at all.

    So im just suggesting: Make it an actual punishment, or just remove the whole infamous status cos' thats pretty much the same anyhoe.
    Seriously is the same, people go to their bed wake up with a whitename thats no punishment is it? Catshop all night long (which they probly would do anyhoe).
    So in my opinion just remove the Infamous, or make it an actual punishment.

    Lol, yeah, and all the afk people push up server load and operation cost. Not very smart of PWI.

    Btw, town guards should patrol around, not just stand at town gates. It makes no sense that they would not let the "murderers" into town, but does nothing if they fly inside.b:chuckle

    That wouldnt work, they would just AFK in the air (in town).
    Unless they would add Flying guards too!

    Should add roaming guards that randomly patrol the entire map. Does not matter where you are a guard may find you. Land, sea or air.

    i like that ideia, and also think dolls, sucks, its not funny, if u lose and thing from u inventory and cant take it back, coz the other guys have dolls or u see a red name and wanna pk him, and when u do, he dont drop anything coz he have a doll, the point of this being a pvp server is pk the ppl who u want, and get drops for that when they are red...

    also thing the guard are cool, but they should do less damage and we should fight back and eventualy kill them, then respawn later again. that would be awsome b:victory

    to spice up pking i think random items should be generated after pking somone so you get a reward for managing to kill somone while pking,and to stop people from abusing this system make it that if u kill an afker(or somone that doesnt fight back intentinally) they get nothing and that person lose the doll anyways lol.

    so basically killing a player you could get a random drop like your killing an fb boss.

    Bounty System would make this awesome. Also, roaming guards is a good idea. While I don't agree with the idle non ticking timer, I think the timer shouldn't tick while in catshop.

    hahahaaa, if the guards patrolled around I'd be so ****ed!

    I don't think the timer should tick in catshop, but who cares if they're afk and it does? that just makes it funnier to get them if they're stupid and idled outside of safe zone.

    and don't do away with infamous - I like being red. :D

    Remove the infamous system altogether?
    Even I would PK people. >:]
    Keep the red names though. It's always nice to know who is likely to sideswipe you and who isn't. However, rewards for PK should only be dropped if the player you PK is no more than 10 levels below you, lest the poor 30's start dieing like flies. People would start grinding them more than the mobs...

    I'm not so sure I ever minded the fact that they go AFK to sleep off their infamy. It bothers me sometimes with people who hunted me that day, but honestly I think them having to AFK is kinda funny too. Having to leave your computer on 24/7 isn't good for it in spite of what some may love to think. And they do have to spend a lot of in game coin and/or real money to buy dolls if they want to play during that time. So the infamy is still somewhat costly, in my opinion.

    Id work it like this:

    There would be an algorithm used to calculate how infamous you are. Such as:
    Infamy = ([Your level - Target's level] *1000)

    So say youre 60. You PK someone whos level 34. That would leave you at 26,000 infamy. But say you pk someone whos level 58 while youre 60. Thats infamy of 2000.

    How does this go into play? You no longer takes hours to clear infamy. Now based on how you grind, your infamy clears. Like maybe 1 mob (within your level range to keep you from farming low mobs) = -100 infamy points. So going back to that 26,000 infamy, it would take 260 mobs to clear it as a punishment for pking such a low level where as pking someone close to your level would only take 20 mobs.

    Now you may be saying, oh but theres a flaw! What if you pk someone higher level? Say youre 60 and you get lucky and pk a level 80, wouldnt that give you -20,000 infamy? Well if the player is higher level than you would have a penalty of say.. 150 infamy points per level difference.

    So you could no longer AFK in towns to remove infamy. Id also remove GAs being effective in pvp. Since it would be easier to clear your infamous status, it should be easier to drop as a punishment for pking.

    I think my system as of right now would work rather well.
