why are the graphics lagging

i can only have the overall graphics setting on level 2 without any lag
i have a nvidia gforce 8200 and amd athlon dual core QL-60 1.9 ghz and 1.75 gb ram window xp proffesional sp3

    the game is a pretty demanding one actually. I have a comparable system to what you described and my settings are about the same.
