Can I get a few pointers? I have read some of the guides and I would really like to try out pvp. I'm not sure to be an archer or a blademaster. What would be the best character? And what server isn't so populated and the newest? I don't want to feel that let down seeing high levels run around everywhere.

neither is better than the other.

archer has range and insane crits.

BM has stuns out the ****.

But then again how many actual pvp mages are out there hunting BM's but risking getting massacred by other classes and skilled pvp BM's?

all that matters in pvp is timing and skill.

Thank you! I'll go as an archer and give it a try. I think sniping people is much better than running up to them and possibly getting ambushed.b:thanks

my wr has 8k pdef and 7.7k mdef without even starting to refine past +2

light armor chars and barbs are bait for casters. warriors just do very little damage and you actually need skill to kill decent geared people, they are essential in tw and group pvp. b:bye

Having played both all I can say is it depends on what your preferences are.

Blademaster for pve is usually a lot of solo aoeing or luring for zhen. BM's can be the fastest levelers in the game and they make the most money per hour. The only downside is aoeing gets super tiring really fast compared to an archer where u can just click a mob, click combo skill and troll forums.

In pvp blademasters have 3984573x the survivability over an archer but where bm's gain survivability they have less damage. This is usually made up for with our ability to stun a target in place for anywhere to 3-30+ seconds depending on how lucky you get. BM's also can use weapons with berzerk which basically has a percentage chance to deal double damage. Coupled with decent crit rates you can one shot people unexpectedly. Another huge gimp bm's have is range. In pvp smart people will kite you so you really have to work at getting to the enemy and keeping him from moving. You have 3 decent ranged skills you can use in pvp for people who run.

Archers for pve are extremely easy in terms of grinding. With a pure dex build at a certain point you can kill mobs without getting hit. You level slower per hour compared to a bm who aoe's but you will notice you can go for longer because grinding with a party is so much easier.

In pvp you really rely on crits to kill people and you are by far the most flexible class in pvp. You have physical attacks and magic attacks. Your weakness is you die very easily and are by far the best class for pvp from 60-77. You will slowly lose your edge over other classes until at 90+ where you are gimp.
