Is It Worth It?? - A Build Question.

Is It worth going Str Heavy at Lv.70 until you can use the Helm of Aqua Viciousness and then going back to an all 5 in Dex build once you reach the required Str or is it best to just stick with the 1 Str and 4 Dex build and just leave the helm until you have the Str to use it later?

I was just thinking that the helm would be "End Game" for most archers so why not focus on getting it in the 7x's and benefiting from all that extra godly HP that it gives? And with it being "End Game" then your not going to fear refining it to +5 or higher, socketing it to max and then sticking some sick shards in it.... I think I just talked myself in to getting it lolz

But seriously, will I be gimped by going so Str Heavy in the 7x's or will the Dex I miss out on not be so much of a big deal once I get the helm?

Food for Thought anyway, I'm sure someone out there must have done it in the past.

Not that i've done it my self (obviously looking at my level), but i have heard it is a bad idea holding out on dex, and that you should wait until your pure dex build catches up with the requirements......So i heard......

Idk what the str req. is for the helm, but something tells me that you would severely gimp yourself by adding so much str to get a helm 20 levels before normal. If you get the helm in the 90's, I'd assume that at 70 your str is 74 and you must need 94 for the helm? 20 lvls into str, idk how much of a crit/accuracy decrease that may be, but I'd assume it could be the equivalent to loseing your leg seeing as dex is your lifesource for crit, accuracy, and most importantly damage. Maybe buy a crappy pair of fists at that point..

And then again, you'd do well to not listen to the 1x archer who has no idea what he's talking about cuz I really dont. b:thanks Just replying from the general idea I've gotten from the forums on how important dex is.

Hey, if it sounds like a good idea I'd say go for it. Theres always restating if you find it a fail, and if it turns out to be what you're expecting, then you'll be a force to be reckoned with (I make a game sound so epic).

The Dex difference is apparent with a gap of 23 at the largest point, I don't know what total effect having 23 less Dex at this Lv. will make maybe someone else can indicate what 1 point in Dex equates to on our Damage/Accuracy/Evasion in comparison to the gains when you add 1 Str (Does Str increase our P.Att?).

I don't think it would gimp the build that much tbh, you would be 1% Less Crit then an archer of your Lv until it started to balance out in the 9x's but you would be better off in the HP dept as the only rival "easy to get" helm is Xanadu but this cant be refined and a lot of people sell it underestimating its usefulness later (I still have mine - Thanks for the heads up Ixta).

Also my numbers do not take in to account having added stats from items, with Hedes and Two Barbaric Warrior's Rings/Buddhist Demon's Rings you would be another 15 Str better off which puts the Helm even more in reach.

I think this might deserve some further testing as I can see it as a viable option if we do not suffer to much in the damage dept by doing so. I will let you guys know how I get on with this as post my findings

1 dex for me is about 20damage (I had an increase of 104 max phys damage on character sheet from 83->84 with 5 dex iirc). The acc/eva at your level doesn't matter that much in the larger picture.

What hurts you is that 1% crit and the damage. I'd extrapolate to say ~+15 max damage/dex at your level... but as with most, there are too many factors that determine your dmg/dex value.

IMO, hunt for helms at AH with hp and dex mods or something... aqua helm is... well... pathetic is a nice word without cussing it out.

at 77 get the 51 hp helm molder. it's good, and the stats on it are significantly better than that terrible aqua helm. for now, just stick to using low level normal hp hats or move to higher leveled mp hats. the difference isn't very spectacular.

honestly, i can't see why people want it so much. it's not worth the chips to make it.

that is THE STUPID IDEA EVER.
Think about this, the 31 dex u lose, if u dont add it to str, u CAN ADD IT TO VIT, 31 VIT + a good 3 star helment is like what, 300 MORE HP than Helmet of Aqua.
Don't even think abt it.

Its decent as it add total of 7 stats that you can restat into dex or w.e, but personally I don't feel the speed in an important factor as .2 doesnt add al that much, you will be flying or on your mount most of the time anyways, if consider pvp you will be movement debuffed most of the time. But however since it is a legendary helmet the hp base is higher than a 3 star helmet. Now lets consider the 7 stats as 7 vit, a 3 star helemt equivilant would be abt 3 star + 7vit + 25hp-level 51 helmet.
So the lion sprit is pretty good, but however when you can use the lev 61 helemt, 95 str, which will be in the mid 80s since Darkshinguards of Hedes add 4-5 str. Then the base of the lev 61 3 star helmet is same as lion sprit, and a helmet just +7vit kinda sucks, you can have something like +4vit +70hp, or +7vit+1% phy+298metal. Just for example. So IMO its not something worth buying when you near 95 str, even if you are far from 95 str you can still find 3 star lev 51 helemts with overalll better stats than the lion sprit.

If you really are into hp helms, save up instead to get a good lvl 51 or 61 helm with a good hp bonus, rather than waste the dex. and Btw, those 20 dex points give a ton of dmg and the crit rate isnt just negligible lol. Not to mention, later game when you hit lion spirit, its another 7 dex on top with still good hp. Otherwise if you want more hp, then go play a BM.
